Just wanted to know what you guys do when your ride is dirty and your expecting rain for the next 3-4 days. Do you typically wait it out, go through your normal wash method, or just a quick wash?

I would still do a normal wash no matter the forecast, even if it rains later that day. Might even hit it with an extra layer of protection

How dirty is it? Just wait it out.

But if the condition is filthy, I would do a quick rinse and leave it.

I wish my car pretty often so when it does rain for a few days I just think of it as a break for me to do something else on my agenda

I would wait it out. If anything I would wait for the rain to clear and do the windows and headlights with some protection. Quick cleaning and apply rainx or whatever product you want. That way when you are driving you will be able to see better. Then when the rain clears and the weather improves a bit you can do a full wash! Unless you have a lot of dirt like mud, salt, bugs etc which I would clean off quickly without doing a full wash. Dealing with that situation now. Washed the vehicle a few days ago and it's now raining and supposed to rain for the next 2-3 days.

If it were me, I'd just wait til the forecast clears. If you have some crud on there that should really be taken off, like bugs, etc., then maybe a quick stop at the coin op for a HP rinse and call it good til it clears off and you can 2BM.

depends if the sun will bake in the dirt and rain water. its been raining alot here so i drive and rinse it off after before the sun bakes it in if i dont have time.

I don't understand the theory of not washing because of rain.?.?.?

Just because it's going to rain doesn't mean my truck doesn't need cleaned.

I agree. If it is dirty, clean it. If it isn't dirty, you don't need to. Any time you can get foreign matter off your car's finish you are ahead of the game and any time there is foreign matter on your cars's finish you are at risk.

It's always going to rain sometime in the future.

My car has been a total disaster and haven't been able to wash because of the rain. Last Friday I had everything out because my car needed a wash and it yearly polish and as soon as I hooked the hose to the spigot it started sprinkling and then a good steady rain. I personally don't like to stand in the rain and get wet but actually thought about it and figured the soft rain water would be better to clean off but I hate getting soggy from head to toe. I want to wash this evening but there is rain in the area and I am waiting until tomorrow now.

Because the rain may wash a lot of the grime away on it's own... and you still have to wash after the rain because there will be water spots anyway.

I don't get you guys. Hahha.

Rain is in the forecast here today. I plan to do a Rinseless Wash on both vehicles before it rains. It is no different than in the winter to remove all the dirt & salt off the vehicles.

Not sure what you don't get. I was under the impression that the OP meant that when he plans on washing the vehicle it was expected to rain. I am guessing though.

Now myself, I don't wash in or during a rain. Car is too dirty to do a rinseless and I hate those rinseless washes anyway winter or summer as it seems like it leaves streaks on the car. Even in the winter my car has too much salt on it that I don't care to do a rinseless. I just take it to a self serve and wand it off or take it to a touchless and wash it. If it still looks dirty and not to cold I warm up the garage and QD it.

All it has been doing here is raining every other day. I normally reserve the end of the week for the car wash but last Friday I had everything set up and was trying to beat the rain and mother nature won at the point I had the hose hooked to the spigot. Yesterday rain was on the radar and I my car needs a wash bad but not that bad.

I would guess the OP feels the same. JMO!
