Hello all,

I am wondering how many wax jobs I can expect to get out of the 3 oz container so I can determine if I should just buy the 7.4 oz container instead?

Thanks for any help.

Good question, All I would say is how many times do you plan on waxing your ride? Once every 2-3 weeks? or once a year? If your going to waxing alot go with the 7.4 oz wax or just a couple of times then the 3 oz container will work fine for you. Enjoy waxing and pictures are in order for AutopiaFourms.:autopia:

If you wax the way Ron waxes, exactly one vehicle. He IS the Wax Wasting King and makes no bones about it. He bought a new Corvette a couple of days ago. It now weighs 3 lbs. more than the day he bought it. In his defense, he sees no limit to how many coats it takes to do the job as opposed to how much he uses per coat.

Seriously though, 10 - 20 depending upon vehicle size and just how frugal you are when applying the product. The thing I suggest is to remember that anything you are wiping off is simply a waste of product. Most modern waxes go an extremely long way. I know others see it just the opposite of the way I see it but I seem to get more applications from a tub of wax than I do a similarly priced bottle of the same manufacturers liquid wax. One last thing to consider is simply this, often times it's cheaper in the long run to buy the larger sized product up front than two of smaller size over time.

My guess would be about 15 for the small BI if you have an SUV. Probably 20 if you have a car. It really depends how thin you apply it. For whatever reason, this wax didn't spread well for me and I used more than I usually would. I've gotten 10+ applications on my SUV out of a Dodo Juice 1oz panel pot - but that stuff spread forever for me.

I wrestled with the same decision several months ago. I purchased the big pot eventually. I really had no choice with the deep discount when I ordered. It wasn't much more than the small one. For myself sample/panel sizes are frustrating. I like trying many waxes but when they are really small I hesitate to use them because I don't want them to be empty.

Pretty much spot on. A minimum of 20 on a normal-sized vehicle

Thanks guys, I will be using it on a black Infiniti Q50 so 3 oz would probably be enough, but nothing wrong with a lil extra so I'll probably go with the 7.4 oz.

Thanks again

the 7.4oz size will easily out last your life :-), I am leaving the remainder of my pot to my friend in my will thats how long it stretches per use!

Is that a challenge to show who is getting the waxes in their wills? The Mothers paste wax will last the weekend warrior an extremely long time.

I'm sure he is now counting the days

Haha, indeed, I gave him a mini tub of BFMS to hold him over.

Challenge in terms of him not killing me to get it, lol. Nah, IMO any 8oz pot will last anyone a real long time. I've noticed BI and Liquid Souveran(new formula) in particular really allow some super thin coats to be put on. I don't know how I can use them each to the last drop!:D

U will need 5-10ml for one thin coat depending on ur weather and vehicle size.
Go figure how much can a pot of wax last u?

Yay my wax collection will easily last me 12 centuries...

Sigh...my collection too. Darn Autogeek making me buy more and more of them!
