A (color) Changing of the Guard? German Wheel Cleaner Showdown Round 1

Yeah, what he said - Something a little less important, but something worth mentioning, is the ability to buy in bulk - again to get the unit-price down. While less, important to someone like me, an enthusiast, it would be very important to a professional where every cent matters. I noticed that the Scholl is not available in bulk, at least at this time.
I can't afford a dollar an ounce cleaners.

few things of constructive criticism regarding your parameters: I think the tire cleaning ability is a moot point - these product are marketed as wheel cleaners, not tire & wheel cleaners. Many if us using a high-end product for our wheels use a dedicated tire cleaner, such as Tuff Shine. The fact that the overspray cleans the tires does not affect my decision since I clean the tires separately.

I don't agree or disagree. To some, it may have value, to others it may not. That is why, to the best of my ability, I tried to judge each product against the others fairly. If tire cleaning is not important, then Scholl Concept's may be your winner. What I like doing with these tests is providing detailed categories, attempting to get accurate scores, and letting you guys make up your mind what is best for you!

As previously mentioned (I think by swanic) is the amount of product used per application. Since these products cannot be diluted, and are more expensive then many other wheel cleaners, the amount of product used is significant for finding the overall cost of use. Maybe in your subsequent test you could try to estimate the number of ounces needed for each wheel and have that as a testing parameter to compare the overall affordability.

Great idea.

Thank you for the constructive criticism, I am always trying to better myself (and just about everything).

I recently picked up 1z and haven't used it yet but am definitely intrigued when I am able to. But Todd have you or anyone noticed the smell just from the bottle even not in use? It's not leaking at all but it's bad enough that I don't even keep it in the house, only outside since it's so potent.

I agree, along with Perls Shampoo, this one flies under the radar. Excellent cleaner!

I started using einszett products a couple of months ago, and every product of theirs I tried has been flat out amazing!

Add their Cockpit Premium, Deep Plastic Cleaner, Gummi Pfledge, and Anti-Insekt to your must-have list!

Their windshield washer fluid additive is awesome! Cuts through bugs like they're nothin'! I just wish I didn't have to change it out for the winter version. Of course I imagine it wouldn't work as well if they had an all-season version.

As long as I don't head north and h3ll don't freeze over, hopefully I don't have to worry bout that no moe

About 4 years ago it snowed in Tampa/St.Pete. Just light flurries. I was detailing an Acura NSX in your neck of the woods, and it was wild.

Add their glass cleaner to the list as well, I like it better than D120 and Invisible Glass!

Has anyone thought about diluting the Colortec wheel cleaner to get more out of it? I just saw you can order it in the 5L refill.

Yes, their glass cleaner is awesome as well!

The wheel cleaner can't be diluted, but if you look around, you can find the 5L pretty cheap.

Thanks once again Todd. I'm sort of hooked on the 1Z product as my heavy duty wheel cleaner - Autoglym or CG Diablo as my light duty/everyday cleaner.

Nicely done Todd!

Did you perform round 2 featuring Wolfgang Uber wheel cleaner?

Yes, but my camera broke right after and I lost everything on my memory card. However, I am up and running so this reminds me to let me wheels get nice and dirty :)
