Detailing Gnosis
This year I achieved some nice results. This is fortunate since I have had less time to detail and they make maintenance easier.
On my MKZ, I have been using Menzerna Power Lock. I do not think it is the best looking sealant (tend to prefer sealants like Wolfgang sealant on this metallic) but it is durable and does leave a nice gloss and clean look. The flake just does not pop as much. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant did not have the durability by itself but plan to go back to Wolfgang with Wolfgang Spritz Spray early next year when I need to refresh. The Detail Spritz is really special.
On my Dakota, Blackfire Black Ice along with an occasional use of Pinnacle XMT Spray Wax really gave me a combo of great durability and looks for something parked outside 24x7 around trees. The Pinnacle gives it a little extra wetness that really is icing on the cake. My previous wax earlier this year was Mothers Carnuaba paste which was durable as well with a nice look.
On the wife's car, I have Prima Epic that a generous member gave me with we traded for some Prima Amigo. This is another sealant with looks like Power Lock (hiding, classy look best on solids) but it has been surprisingly durable as well. I have not decided what to you next on this one. Mothers Reflections makes this flake bling.
For maximum shine, I really tend to like carnauba's on solids and some sealants (ones with clarity) on metallic.
