With the unreasonably warm weather this weekend here in Philadelphia, A customer of mine gave me a ring to see if I could make his Triumph TR-4 look better. He told me that it was recently in the body shop to have the engine bay repainted and there was some over-spray on the car.
While doing the intial inspection you could see that the paints shine was definitley hindered. The paint was rough to the touch but the car was already washed and dried prior to my arrival. After Claying with Meguairs Aggressive Clay, all of the overspray was removed and we could get to the polishing.
The polishing process started out with Menzerna PG1000 on a foam cutting pad with my Makita Orbital buffer, This cut through the oxidation and brightened the paint greatly! I then switched to my griots 6" with meguairs MF polishing pad and polsihed with Menzerna SF4500. I then topped it with Son1cwax A3 protowax. Enjoy the pics!!
