Any big detailing plans this winter?

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
Spoiled by Florida's year long driving weather, we don't really put our babies "away" for the winter. I know its getting cold in our northern states? Anybody have any big plans to detail their rides over the cold winter months? Pats300ZX has a mini car collection that I'm sure affords a lot of winter projects.

Im planning at some point to gut the interior in my Tahoe and clean the hell out of it. I detail out of it, so its rarely still long enough to do much to it. Neglect I believe is the word for it lol. I'm also hoping to finish up a 46 Ford convertable that I've worked on off and on since last winter. Its taken the owner a year to assemble it, and to my knowledge its finally almost complete. It will be stunning once its on the road.

if weather permits when i go back home around xmas to see my father i planned on putting some glaze and sealant on one of his john deere tractors
i just think that green would really look good with something nice on it

plus i really think some glass treatment would be much appreciated by all of his farm hands

that way i can say, yeah, i do tractors too. ;)

I had taken some time off from working at the trucking company, so i will be getting back to washing, polishing and waxing. Got to get the tanks and wheels polished up too.

I was hoping to get a 2nd coat of FK1000p on this weekend since it has been close to 2 months but sounds like snow tomorrow so makes it hard to wash the car and drive it home 15 miles in the slop. Would like to get a 2nd coat on the car before it hit the below zero weather.

Dean. :snow:

I hope sooo much I get a chance to polish my jeep.... Through my Black Ice test it got thrashed(BTW Black Ice is the SHIZNIT!!!) And every time I've thought I could polish it well.... It got hydro'd because of time factors... I hate seeing it in the sun right now. I'm booked solid through dec 14th so maybe Xmas... Or if my family acts like they always do I might do it on thanksgiving after I eat to much!!

After Christmas once I get my tools I plan to work my way through my families cars and mine. Right now i am set up to learn on a Chevy Silverado, 2 Honda CRV, a Honda Ridgeline, a Toyota Solara, a Toyota Camry, then finish with my Porsche Boxster. I'll be busy this winter.

First I just have to hope black friday comes with a great deal put together on a GG 6" DA orbital with nice compound/polish duo and some pads to get these cars done!

You have to document this, would make for a great write up!

Finally getting around to giving my 08 Z06 a total overhaul for its very first detail......probably a full week. Then 4 coats of CQuartz Finest.

While my detailing has come to basically a close I'm in full restoration swing. To build a Concours winning car it's all a out the details. I'm at over 1500 pics And not halfway there.
