Perhaps the two biggest products announced at this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas were both made by Rupes.
The new Rupes LHR75 Mini Random Orbital Polisher and the LHR 12E Duetto Random Orbital Polisher.
Both Big Foot polishers feature an impressive 12mm stroke, about 50% larger than other random orbital DA's, while having a traditional design that includes an on/off switch and speed dial.
Rupes are like finely-crafted Italian supercars; they are performing the performance boundaries of what a random-orbital DA polisher can do. Like a supercar, each part has to be an optimized piece of an engineered system.
The Duetto has be optimized for use with 6-inch polishing pads, specifically Rupes 6-inch polishing pads. The weight of counter balancer, the amount of rotation in the pad, the balance of the machine almost work together in harmony to achieve results like this. As a bonus, the Duetto makes an excellent machine sander as well. The Mini features the same Big Foot features as the Duetto, but has been engineered to the finest degree for use with 4-inch polishing pads.
