Description:

CarPro Hydro2 Touchless Silica Sealant is a state-of-the-art surface sealant that offers extreme protection and effortless application! CarPro Hydro2 Touchless Silica Sealant is formulated with hydrophilic glass fibers, silicon polymers, and fluoropoylmers, to create a durable silica shell on the surface it is applied to. Hydroelectric bonding gives HydrO2 the ability to coat and protect any hard surface. Applying CarPro Hydro2 Touchless Silica Sealant is extremely easy. Mist it on to a wet vehicle and rinse it off forcefully. The power of science creates the illusion of magic as water will bead away intensely, while your paint, glass, wheels and more remain safe under the hard silica shell.

Experience:

I was skeptical of this product (as I am every product). Mix with water, spray on, blast with water, dry and you are done? NO WAY!!! I was wrong. I applied Hydro2 to my beater car 10 weeks ago today and it is STILL beading water. I applied it to ALL exterior surfaces and the only one that is showing any degradation is the windshield from wiper use (didn't use the wipers for the first 6-8 weeks).

I am super impressed by the ultra-slick finish and the ridiculously easy application.

Here is a picture of the beater car, taken this morning, after a night time rain.

If you are looking for an extremely to use, fairly durable paint sealant give CarPro Hydro2 a look: LINK

I applied Hydro 2 to my wheels on my truck about a month ago. It is holding up very well. When I washed the wheels this past weekend the water was still beading like crazy.

Love this stuff! I've been suggesting it to all my clients that have their cars coated too, that way they get that slick feeling most want. :bigups

trying to read up on this - so do you apply anything over it or just use the hydro2 and that's it? - does it work on trim etc?

You use Hydro2 over top of a sealant, coating, bare paint. It is more of a "on-top" product. It works on every exterior surface.

I know of someone that currently has it on their car for 4 months and it is still beading. He is in Florida.

So I can use this over a carnuba wax or should I strip the car and polish first? Or Polish/seal then hydro2??

I have not used it over a nuba wax. In talking with Corey @ CarPro-US he said that he has not had good success putting Hydro2 over a nuba. Hydro2 can only be as good as the base layer it is on.

Hydro2 is really made to go on top of a sealant, coating, or bare paint. If you want to use Hydro2 I would suggest at the least stripping off the old wax and either putting it on bare paint or sealing with a sealant and then using Hydro2.

I currently have it on top of a 2yr old application of CQ original. My Hydro2 is about 1 month old and still going strong.
