Can BF APC be used safely on carpets undiluted?
I'm more curious than anything. 4:1 works great, too. Love this APC!If you need to use it undiluted on carpets, then there is some really nasty crap on there. Ive never tried it, Id test a small unseen area first.
do you need to rinse it after when useing on carpet?
So, if you don't have an extractor, anything other than spot cleaning on *non removable* carpet/upholstery wouldn't be advised?Ideally yes, to prevent any residues from attracting more soil.
Hey Todd, what is the recommendation for a "paint safe" dilution ratio? Do I stick with 4-1 or can we use something a little stronger if needed?
Todd, not trying to be a jerk, but you clearly used it undiluted on bugs in your review.4 to 1 is as strong as I would recommend
+1I used the BF APC for the first time this weekend. Awesome stuff. The engine came out out amazing using the APC. I will continue to use it for many years.![]()

I'm a bit confused.

I'm getting technical, but I want to know about what I'm using.Yes, I have used it undiluted on bugs and it worked awesome (I have done this on tar as well). However, when using it at this strength you are increasing the risk of paint clouding (can be removed by light polishing). At any thing more than 1:4 I would test an inconspicuous spot first.
At 1:4 it should be safe for any exterior surface.
I'm getting technical, but I want to know about what I'm using. It states BF APC can be used neat on wheels safely. Wheels are clear coated just like paint. Would the same risk of clouding wheels increase when using neat like on paint?
I figured so, just wanted to make sure. Thanks buddy! The clear coat on wheels is different then the clear coat on paint. Always test an inconspicuous spot first if applying at anything more then a 1:4 dilution on automotive paint.
