dodo purple haze pro (soft wax)

for your green, banana armour and orange crush just get the 10ml pots there only 10 bucks each
I'm not questioning your post here, but why would I get the orange crush? I actually thought about the banana armour and I can see why, because of the yellow. But, I would think the orange crush would be a more for an orange or red car?
What are your personal thoughts on the dodo juice waxes?

Personally for your green car I would stick with rainforest rub or hard candy. The ornage crush and banana armour are meant for warm colored tones like reds - yellows. There is nothing wrong with using them on your paint at all as they can be used on any color, however for that color green (it looks to be a metallic?) the hard candy would get the most flake pop IME. Rainforest rub is also a stellar choice for that color.

I picked up a sample of Blue Velvet from PJ. He said it was similar to Purple Haze except a hard wax.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.:yourrock
I would think the Rainforest Rub would work killer on the green too. And yes, the paint is metallic. I am actually looking for the Dodo Juice that will give me the most "pop" on the metallic. I may have to look into the hard candy as well now.

So I know others have suggested layering PHP on top of Hard Candy. If Blue Velvet is similar to PHP but with longer durability, wouldn't it just be better to just use Blue Velvet? Is there some other benefits w/ the layering?

You are very welcome!

If you are looking for flake pop (and with a metallic paint job why would you not be? :D) The Carnauba waxes I would reach for are the Dodo Hard Candy or white Diamond or a jar of Blackfire Midnight Sun.

However, if its maximum flake pop you are looking for, then I cant recommend enough the Werkstat Acrylic Prime / Jett system. In my experience, nothing gives the amount of pop that this combo does and it is my go to for light and mid tone metallic colors.

Personally I do not see the reason why you would layer Purple Haze Pro over Hard Candy. You are basically just layering two different waxes over each other with one that is meant for all colors (HC) and the other for dark colors (PHP). You would be better off with just going two coats of HC or PHP, but I would select depending on color of the paint personally.

The only difference between PHP and BVP is that the PHP is a soft wax while BVP is a hard. They both do pretty much the same beautiful job on dark colors with BVP lasting a bit longer.

The Werstat Acrylic kit is great. It really gives you that pop. And it is super durable as well when you apply multiple coats of AJT.
