Should I or Shouldn't I ?!?!?!?

Just want to dismiss the myth some more we take people all the time in that don't need an ambulance and we take them in and sit them in the waiting room.

Please refrain from calling an ambulance when you can drive the person (usually faster anyway)

Can't exactly do CPR in a car while you are driving that would be the appropriate time for an ambulance.

Sorry to hear about your wife trouble you can get her there faster than the ambulance can anyway and we can't do any diagnosing being an EMT so typically it really is just a ride to the ambulance and than I love when the people follow "you couldn't drive them yourself why?"

Rant over :D wishing Speedy recovery friend

They might as well tell you when you arrive to pay a $300 express check in charge otherwise be faced with torture sitting in the waiting room for reception paperwork and waiting orderal. I bet that would actually generate a lot of money.

More then ever, ER's are trying to adapt to their patients needs. I was able to monitor how long the wait time would be via their website. That helped a lot, but I would also like the option of paying a fee not to have to wait around in a room full of sick people and their nasty disgusting germs

Man, been there. Went 2 weeks with the pain, docs were amazed it didn't explode. Ironically the paint after surgery hurt me more, took months to fully recover and still had muscle pains where they ripped a few muscles. Good luck, she won't be able to lift anything for a bit.

This is not news I wanted to hear. As I was saying earlier, she can get very dramatic if I allow it

Glad you made it out alive

It's not so much getting there in a hurry as it is getting seen earlier

When I told her some child might be choking to death on a pretzel (happened to me) or someone's mother might be having a heart attack, she finally came to her senses

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone

Sorry to hear your wife is still in the hospital Trouble. Is she OK? They usually like to throw you out as soon as possible.

How are you doing? Should I come cook your dinners?:D

9 days later and she is still in the hospital ... :wow:

Sorry to hear this buddy. How does she look to you, are you seeing signs of improvement? It just seems like a long time to be in the hospital.

Hope things turn around soon and she's on the road to a complete recovery...:bigups

The apendix partially burst during surgery. This caused a stubborn infection to set in. They went back on day 5 and inserted a tube in her right butt cheek so the poison would drain out. What they are waiting on now is a nice healthy duece. Other then that she's doing okay

You can come feed the animals. I keep forgetting to do that

I really do miss having her around. Do you realize I haven't had a home cooked meal in 10 days?!? The house is a wreck too! :inspector:

Thanks for the support BobbyG and DetailChick :rockon

Thanks Al. Everything is going to be okay I'm sure :headspin

I'm talkin' to you, bub!

I'm afraid she would go into full cardiac arrest if she witnessed all that. Besides, if I did it once she would expect it always

Her hillbilly sister is coming back down in a day or two. I'll get her to clean the mess up, cook and buy some flowers for all that I've been through ... :bubba
