Hey fellas! I'm trying to get my business up and running hopefully by next week. I need your input on my price list for commercial vans/buses. I'm targeting churches, day cares, nursing homes, transports, etc. I'm in north GA. Do you think my prices and service packages are fair? Thanks for your input?

BTW, how much do you charge for limo's?

I'm in the same boat of trying to get my business up and running, so I'm dealing with the whole pricing situation as well. The best advice I can give you is figure out how long it will take for each service and base the price roughly off of a hourly figure to begin with. From that point you can adjust as you need but you don't undercut yourself in the beginning. Also, are there any local businesses you could compare your pricing to?

Once you get a good system down, you will probably be able to do a $30 or $40 package in an hour or so. Is $30 an hour enough to keep you afloat? If so, I would say your on track because those companies are rarely interested in anything expensive.

Just a tip - Get an air compressor. They make quick work out of dusting out the rear seating area as well as the dash and floor in shuttle buses.

That's how I came up with the prices that I have now as far as regular cars and trucks. But no one has prices for commercial vehicles. They mention fleets but its done by estimate.

Once I get going I'm sure that im going to have to adjust my prices. Hopefully, I can get up to about $40 hr. That's my target.

You are going to starve to death charging those prices. I wouldn't even offer the wash unless they had first had a full detail (wax) performed and were set up on a weekly/bi-weekly basis thereafter

Churches are flush with cash. Don't feel like you have to give them a great deal just because of who they are

You might also consider promoting permanent coatings :puterx:

I think your prices are a little too low IMO. With cost of supplies, gas, insurance, your labor time and other items you won't break even. You should look into getting Opti-Coat to offer them a great package protection system for these vehicles who get abuse alot.
