Wheel-Well "Back to Black"

Bop's Auto Wash & Detail
I've seen it used before in a detailing video but I can't remember the product name... After the wheel-well is cleaned and dry, there's a spray that'll shine/blacken the well for a nice detailed look... What is this stuff?!?!

Thanks! :usflag

There's an Adam's product like that I have used called Invisible Undercarriage Spray, but I'm not too fond of that.

There is a Detailer's Pro Trim Detailer that is an aerosol spray that does that, but I haven't ever used it.

Chemical Guys, Adam's, and Griot's are all fairly similar undercarriage sprays. I tend to like trim products on plastic wells like Poorboys Trim Restorer, Ultima, and have used a tire shine too.

Chemical Guys sells the original "Back to Black" in an aerosol can. It is really good on anything that is black plastic under the hood or on clean fenderwells that are black plastic lined like my 2009 Grand Cherokee's wheelwells.
It really makes the plastic look great and lasts a good amount of time.
The caveat is that these cans are not as cheap as the other products mentioned above, so you have to think about that.
This product is all I use in my business, because of the stunning look it gives to, for example, the entire underhood engine compartment of any BMW.
Good luck with your research !

A few I have used:

CG - Bare Bones
Meguiars - Hyper Dressing

Apply either with a fine mist sprayer.

That's where I saw it! While watching the Adams videos on youtube. I'm gonna check out the chemical guys product in aerosol can. Thanks guys!!!!

I had a feeling when you asked it was that because I saw the same video. Some of Adam's stuff is good, some isn't the best. Either way, good luck!

Once the wheel well is clean, I use Tire Foam at every wash. The wheel wells on my two cars are always black and clean up with soap and water, mild scrubbing.

There is some stuff called Bright 22 or something like that, comes in an Aerosol can. I got some from a buddy of mine and then saw it again at a tire shop. Works great and smells good to. You can use it on anything you want to clean up. I used it under the hood, wheel wells, undercarriage etc.

I use Stoner's TrimShine unless it's a higher end vehicle. It's really cheap and works good as far as coverage goes, a bit too shiny though and you have to be careful from the aerosol type can which can send a mist of it onto a panel.

I just picked up some Megs Tire Foam for this exact purpose. I have used Gunk Shine or CD-2 in the past with good results.

Im a big fan of the CG Bare Bones.....

only one word of advice, take serious the warning that it will stain concrete if you are a drive way detailer.....
