dodo purple haze pro (soft wax)

I've used it on black. One thing to know, after a couple of layers it does add add a purple looking tint to your black paint. That I didn't like about it. Application and smell are great. In fact, I believe its on my car in the picture in my avatar.
 
Dodo makes some very good waxes. Ive tried the Hard Candy wax and love it. I cant wait to order more LSP from Dodo. Smells great and is easy to apply/ wipe off. Dont be too worried about the color claims, it will do perfect on red paint. Their Supernatural hybrid wax just won wax/sealant of the year, So did their shampoo(best car shampoo). I would suggest buying the finger pad applicators dodo sells. The sample containers can be annoying to work with when using a full size applicator pad.

Hmm Purple tint... Might try this on my white car:D
 

I have played with a sample pot of Dodo PHP. I applied it to the spoiler on my car. It was a little harder to work with then say Fuzion or BFCS, but in reality it was very easy to use. The look was nice, and the beading was great. It is one of the few waxes I still want to get the full size tub of.
 
Thanks for the reply...I've been looking at these dodo waxes for a while now and there seems to be a lot of them. I really like the souveran tub wax--pretty spectacular on my red '13 accord coupe--but am always looking for something new. Is there any conventional info. available on differences and/or advantages to all the dodo waxes for different paints/colors?

The PRO versions have the addition of their "Red Mist" sealant. This gives the pro versions a little more durability. I am not sure if it changes or enhances the look any as I have only used PHP.

There is a line of thought that these "color charged" waxes will enhance the colors they are designed for or compliment. Obviously dark=dark, light=light, warm=warm. Now I am disagreeing with this line of thought and I would most likely stick with it. As some have noted after a few coats it will start to slightly tint a finish.

But at the end of the day I think you really can put any of them on any color you want and get good results. Some Nuba waxes are more yellow. If I put it on a white car does the finish look yellow? Not necessarily. A white wax like BFWD doesn't make a black car white. It makes it a mile deep liquid pool of black ink....
 
One of my favorite waxes. Easy to use, looks great, smells delicious and durability very respectable.
 
How good are these DODO Juice soft waxes? I just want a "pop" in the sunlight and not too concerned with longevity as I will be using the stuff on my weekend warrior. Are they worth the money? They seem expensive.
 
I used the Purple Haze (not Pro) a few weeks ago and found it a bit crumbly. I did remove it from the jar to use. I talked to PJ about it at DF and he has I should not have removed it and suspected the sample was a bit old since it probably dried out.

I have not had a chance to wash and look at it since the wife immediately drove it out of town and got dirty.
 
Purple haze is a great wax for dark colored cars. I prefer the Blue Velvet though as I like the hard waxes myself. I have tried it on several colors and have found that, while not tinting the colors all that much (unless you put several coats on) the waxes look their best on the colors they were designed for. (purple haze / blue velvet = dark, Banana Armour / Orange Crush = warm mid tones).

If you want a good all around wax from them for all colors that is not charged, then diamond white / light fantastic, rainforest rub and hard candy are great options!
 
I used it last weekend on my Black Fiat. I'll post it later. I like it. Too early to tell about durability. My car was parked at airport of half the week and garage the other half.

for your green, banana armour and orange crush just get the 10ml pots there only 10 bucks each
