Why can't somebody invent a car cover that can provide protection against hail?

Better yet, why can't car companies figure out some way to make cars better protected against hail??

And even better, why can't someone create a clear coat that resists swirls and marring???

1) Yes you can drive a right hand drive car in the US.

2) I don't think I have ever seen that van before. I am not sure.

I was wondering this today on the way home. I got caught in some hail. I was able to get cover under a bridge. Sat there for about 20 minutes and it cleared up. Got going again and just down the road it started hailing even harder and it was larger too.

It was dark when I got home so I will have to check for damage in the morning.
