Black GT-R extensive correction by Immaculate Reflections of Northern California

[GoFast908Z]

This black GT-R came in for an extensive correction. The soft GT-R paint presented its own challenges, but with the right tools and products, a high level of correction was achieved. The better part of 2 days was spent getting the car to look its best.



Correction process:
-Makita Rotary, LC PFW, Megs bp, M105
-PCXP, LC orange, Menz SIP
-PCXP, LC black, Menz 85RD


As it arrived

Tips would require some good polishing

Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner to make the wheels and brake calipers look amazing again.

Much better now

Pre-wash foaming to soften the dirt before washing

Swirls

After compounding, final polishing to be carried out later

Corrected (specs are just some polishing dust)

Tail lights need corrective work as well

The door jambs and trunk jambs also got attention and were sealed for protection and ease of cleaning.

For the clear film wrap on the front end of the car....

LSP choice for this car was Blackfire Wet Diamond

A little prep spray on the applicator

Allowing it to cure overnight for the best results

Finished pictures in the sun

Thanks Angelo! Those vehicles are all done already, just waiting to be uploaded, amongst many others.

The Crystalline didn't spread as well as I'd hoped, but wiped off very easily. Looked good out in the sun too.

Sounds good. High end detailing doesn't HAVE TO be exotics
