Mag Wheels & Carbon Cermic Brakes - Whats safe and whats not...

The Driver

Detailers Workshop
I have 3 cleaners but I'm hesitant about using some of them on some of my customers cars. Can you guys give me some imput, I've searched but no definitive answers yet.

P21S - Wheel cleaner (I know is safe for both Mag wheels an ceramics)

Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner (Gel) Not sure on either?

Car Pro Trix - Tested it the other day on some regular wheels, very fast acting. Literally double the results of the sonax in half the time with no agitation. (I'm nervous about using this, any input would be appreciated)

All three cleaners are fine.

Where you could (in theory) run into trouble is with applying dressings. Anything with silicone or silicon could soak into the carbon-ceramic material of the pad and negatively affect the friction it could produce. Again this in theory.

Apply tire dressings to an applicator and wipe on the tire and you are fine.

Thanks so much for the reply. I'm going to give the sonax a run on a GTR Black edition today. I'll post the before and after results tonight.

Oh & :autopia:

Used the sonax, Worked awesome! No agitation (Only used a low pressure electric karcher pw).

Even with soap the wheels stayed caked on...
