foamed wool pads for da

First non foam pad I used on a DA. I thought it worked pretty well, but after using the new microfiber pads, these don't stand a chance.

Foamed Wool 6.5 x 1 Thick Polishing / Buffing Pad
anybody have any experience with the foamed wool type pads for a da ? do you think it's worth trying or does the da limit the results you can achieve? i always thought wool was primarily used in the rotary domain.

On a FLEX DA, because of the forced rotation they do really well, more so then wool pads that have more cutt (ie a 4 ply wool pad). This is because the foaming process (which is applied to the lower 1/3 of the pad) makes the fibers stand up which increases the cutting power when using a DA motion.

On a Random Orbital style DA (Griots, Meguiars, Porter Cable) then will not cut as much as the action of the machine limits their cutting power.

So on a Forced Rotation DA (FLEX/Makita Two Mode) they will out perform a microfiber disc.

On a Random Orbital, the Microfiber Disc will out perform them.
