2010 GTR Minor correction and My first wheel repair! Orinda Auto Detail

So earlier in the week I had a 2010 GTR in for a minor correction and clean up nothing special here it was a well taken care of non tracked GT-R Pearl white. It had curb rash on one of the wheels, My normal wheel guy wouldn't touch it because of the color sooooo since this was the major concern when the customer brought it in and 4 other wheel shops and guys told me no also I decided I'll take a crack at it. I have a firm policy of no expermenting on cars unless their 100k+ that keeps the stakes high so I bring my "A" game.

This is after my first attempt of using aluminum filler, Its very simaliar to bondo so this was the easy part. Sanded it primed it ready to paint. I had no paint code for this color and Cali tree huggers banned solvent based paint so I had to make this paint with mixxing water based stuff(took 6 trys befor I got the color right)

I win!!! My prize? Not having to buy this guy a new rim!!! HANDLED!

Happy Holiday Weekend everyone!

Fantastic work!!

:rofl
Thanks Mike. Yeah I'm one of these days its gonna back fire on me but so far I've been fine! First car I ever wet sanded was an SL65 that was a year old, First car I ever sprayed a bumper on was f430, First car I ever put a Passport(you have to pull bumpers, fenders, wire it into the CPU of the car) Was a brand new turbo porsche lol
Great work and the photos tell the tale....:bigups
Thank you Bobby!

Nice job! Any picture of the wheel finished. It appeared the damage was in the area clockwise to the valve stem, which wasn't really visible in the after picture.

I follow the same rules of experimentation! :rofl
