We were lucky enough to obtain a bottle of Meguiar's #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax signed by Mr. Meguiar himself - Barry Meguiar!

We'll be giving this bottle away to one very lucky winner. To enter this contest, briefly tell us about the first Meguiars car care product you ever used and why it got you hooked on the brand.

The winner will be picked at random and announced on Friday, May 11th.

i think the first meguiar's product i used was megs cleaner wax. it was easy to use by hand and produced a very nice aio finish. it was usually readily available at retail stores too. after i started frequenting the detailing forums, it was obvious that meguiars products were always a safe bet for whatever you needed. i could see most professionals were already using megs 105 & 205 as their "go to" for serious detailing. i like megs 26 hi-tech yellow wax too. easy on, easy off and leaves a very nice finish. it was also my first topper for bfwd and produced a beautiful finish there too. you just can't go wrong with megs.

I first used Meguiars in 1977 on my first new car, a black Trans Am with gold decals. Nothing made it look as good as Meguiars cleaner wax. I went through the stuff like water waxing it weekly.

My first Meg's product was definitely the Cleaner Wax and their foaming tire shine 12 years ago when I got my first car, a 92 Buick Regal. Of course I didn't know about the vast selection from other companies. I still use Meg's today for polishing and correction work, as well as their #26 from time to time.

First time I used was when I was 16 and had just gotten my first truck. I was at an autoparts store and was drawn to the fancy label of the NXT Generation Tech wax, and was blown away by the shine I got over the other waxes I'd been using. Now I'm addicted to their polishes and compounds as well! =D

My 1st was a combo of cleaner Wax, #2 polish and Gold Class. Looked great on my '97
4Runner until the clearcoat started to give way. I think that was a flaw with the '97s.

Way back in the day (well 1985) I first waxed my car with Meguiars Cleaner Wax. I was doing it all by hand back then. I became hooked on the shine of a freshly waxed car and never stopped waxing. Meguairs products were the first I used and I still have a plethora of Meg products in my bag ranging from APC, D108, Quik Interior Detailer, Ultimate Compound, Polish, and Wax, M20, don't forget the Gold Class Wash (I love it). I started using Meguiars because the name was trusted and they have never let me down. :rockon

Meguiar's Wheel Brightener for me.
I always wore nitrile gloves when using it and was always amazed at how well it cleaned wheels.
Even recently I had an '85 Merc that hadn't had the back of it's wheels cleaned ever. Power washing took off as much as it could but believe it or not, MWB got off 27 year old crud that the power washer couldn't even touch. The owner of the Merc was lost for words after witnessing the MWB in action.
Then along came Meg's #16 and the magic continued.

The Deep Crystal system when I was in high school. Then NXT. My high school car I kept so waxed up it looked like it had water beads on top of beads when it rained.

My fav meguiars product was ultimate car shampoo..now they have changed the colour and name but few years back it was pink in colour and had a nice aroma smell plus the strong cleaning power of removing grime. Now i am from Canada so not sure if they had it in States too. But i loved that product and had used it for many years until they changed the name. anyways thanks Todd

I'm not sure of the Meg name, but back in the mid 70's (op's, am I dating myself) I used a Pink liquid - came in a gallon jug - "Glaze product that did wonders on dark colors!

My first real experience with Meguiar's was Meguiar's M26, we used it in the "detail" department. Then I used the DC 1-3 system on my own car. It wasn't until I discovered MOL and a fellow named Mike Phillips that I really went overboard with Meg's.

Did I win?!?!?!?

Autopia aim's to please but this one is 100% STIG!!! (I'll take the credit if you must though!)

The first Megs product I used was the Mirror Glaze Cleaner Wax. After I bought my first car I wanted to put a coat of wax on it but was unsure about what to use. My Dad had some cleaner wax on the shelf so I grabbed that and went to town. I loved the way it came out and have been using Meguiar's products ever since.

The first Meguiars product I ever used was the old Sealer Reseal Glaze #7. Really made the old lacquer finishes shine.

Mine was Gold Class Shampoo back in '08. I just loved it! I went to my local Meguiar's dealer and bought several items: NXT Glass Cleaner (another excellent product), microfibers, a wash mitt and Endurance Tire Gel in addition to GC Shampoo. It was the beginning of my detailing addiction and I still find Gold Class to be a superb shampoo. I'm really hooked on detailing and specially on Meguiar's.
