This is not a formal reveiw and unfortunetly this product has failed me twice on being able to withstand just dew over night.

Heres what it did to my molding overnight........

I cleaned it properly with a degreaser ,dried it and then applied it working the product in really well and then wiped the excess off .

The old meguiars ultimate protectant did not do this and withstood even rain very well so I had no idea the new product (witch is much easier to apply also) would be any different ,so I was happy up until I discovered this.

Ive used it on several of my customers cars already so I am not very happy .

Also the same results on a customers car(Prius) I had at home overnight ,it ran on every trim peice I applied it to except the cowl.

On a positive note I love the way it looks and applies but will only use it on garage queens from now on!

I look for trim products that are hydrophobic and do not run.

UTTG
Sonus Bumper and Trim Gel
Auto Finesse Revive
Wolf Chemicals Nano Trim Sealant

Those are some I found to be hydrophobic and do not run. Perhaps you want to look into them, DC..... hit me up in a PM if you want to sample any. I think "the runs" can truly make a customer shy away from a detailer after seeing the mess left behind.

Thanks Dr.Thats a really helpful post!:)

I already have UTTG and a couple other trim protectants that dont run but thanks for the suggestions . Im sure it will help others .Im done trying new trim products.

I agree it looks extreemly bad to a customer finding that in the morning or after it rains . I hope I havent lost any customers over it! :violin:

Thanks for the honest assessment.

Funny, I only remember it raining once in the 6 years I lived in SD. ;)

We get plenty of rain in the winter! Rain in forecast this week Wed,Frid and Sat!:rain:

Im sure some of my customers will be cursing me by then,or maybe I will get lucky and their cars will be safe and dry in a garage!

I use Meg's Ultimate Protectant Dash and Trim Restorer from the twelve ounce squeeze bottle. It is like a cream or compound as for the consistency of the liquid. Never tried the spray (never new they had any). Used it last night on a black Harley-Davidson f-250 with great results. Took a look at it this morning sitting out in the driveway and its wet with dew but no runs or streaks.Been using this for close to a year if my memory is correct and haven't seen the problem you have mentioned.

The old version from the squeeze bottle did not run in the rain or dew for me either.

The problem with the old version for me was that most of the time trim needed 2 or 3 ,sometimes even 4 applications whitch drove me crazy at the end of a work day but I love the way it looks and hoped the new spray would be better and improved .

The application of the new spray is much better and easier IME.

I wish it lasted through rain/dew because otherwise its a really nice looking product .
