Megs hyper dressing for wells

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
how is it for the wheel wells? is it a SOWA application, or do you have to go back with a applicator? being megs water based dressing is getting hard to find (the best i found for wheel wells) looking for a alt. i have found cg bb and groits all run. and if the hyper dressing is good for it, what ratio did you use?

thanks!

I been using ARO when cleaning them. After rinsing I would dry them off with a old towel. The finish looks great and have a low sheen to them, the best part is not using another product but you can use the Meg's product but I would wipe it down if too much product is left on.

Hyper dressing is not a bad choice for the wheel wells and holds up. You can adjust the gloss by the mixing ratio to suit your preference. Although not water based, their All Season Dressing is another alternative for a spray and walk away.

Try Sonus Motor and Trim Kote. Much better IMO.

Jim - Do you linke the Sonus due to not being water based so it stays on longer or just the final finish it gives. I found Megs at 4:1 to give a better look than a 10:1. I'm going to try a 2:1 on the next sprayer refill as the 4:1 is still pretty runny.

at 2:1 its still runny but at full strength i found it to sling off from wheels. but as a wheel well dressing you can spray on and walk away. either way i'd do a wipe just to even out the finish.

I like the look, the durability, the spray on and walk away fact and the fact it dries to the touch.

Jim, you and Dave both have been saying how great Sonus Motor and Trim Kote is. I may have to try this especially since it is a spray on and walk away deal that may last longer than the Bare Bones I am using now.

Dave did a nice review on it, Troy. He also gives some great application tips in that review. I think it's a great product, especially for ten bucks a bottle. I'd link the review for you but I'm on my phone right now.

Meguiar's Hyper Dressing is a great product that is very versatile. I have used it for engines, wheel wells, and tires. It doesn't last very long on tires, but on wheel wells and engine compartments it is very good.

3:1 will give you a satin-gloss finish were 4:1 is closer to just a darkening effect.
If misted on to the surface properly it does not need a final wipe, although I tend to do so just to be safe.
