Pollen Season

Well it started here about 2 weeks ago and it's at full strength. I always keep my rides clean and protected with BFWD and with BF Deep Gloss Spray and with FK1 this part of the year. What are you using or plan to use when the pollen comes knocking on your car?

i hope i have a good amount of bfwd on when it gets bad here. it was so nasty last year i had to wash my rides like every three days.

Here, it is cedar. When they are doing their thing, cars (of any color) turn yellow-green. Prima Hydro Wax as you Dry seems to buy me an extra day or two but that only gets me to a couple of days before I can't stand it any more and pull out the rinseless.

Screw the cars my allergies are killing me...

Since AZ is a bit warmer that the rest of the country, things started blooming here in Jan. Well I got kicked in the face with an intense sinus infection complicated by allergies. I feel your pain with the allergies Dave.

My car is also covered with a fine layer of yellow crap. Stupid pollen. :wall

Pollen, the evil nemesis of springtime!

I've discovered that the key to your defense is to keep the finish as slick as possible. Having the finish finely polished, sealed, and waxed makes it difficult for pollen to cling and is super easy to remove.

Maintaining your finish throughout the winter months is very important for obvious reasons but topping it with a quality spray wax like XMT 360 Spray Wax or Optimum Spray Car Wax is part of my DOD plan.

Rinseless Wash

Rinseless washes are also perfect for this as it's quick and easy to use and the solution allows the pollen and debris to simply float from the finish flowing harmlessly to the ground.

Detail Spray

Like waterless washes, detail spray is yet another way to combat the pollen season. Arming yourself with a few soft microfiber towels and your favorite detail spray will make short work of this pesky demon.....:bigups

I know that the pollen season is going to be wicked here in the Northeast. We have gotten zero snow all year. Things are already starting to bloom.

It really amazing Pat!

We had a whole 1 inch of snow yesterday and it's already gone. :inspector:

Even though I live 400 miles north of you the weathers been warm enough so that most of the trees have small buds on them and in February!!

It's gearing up to be quite a season so gear up men!!

I hear that, it was humid here yesterday. I'm going to have to subsitute professionalism for comfort this summer. Board shorts and flip flops, maybe a straw hat. I'll probably end up looking like charlies ingles from little house on the prairie.

this is the first allergy season i've actually been able to tolerate well. i'm usually suffering by this time. i'm using non rx- allegra and rx- fluticasone nasal spray. the rx helps to start just before the season begins. what a difference now.

I used to be a fan of waxes but noticed since I switched to sealants the pollen doesnt stick nearly as much ,true of fallout and bugs also .

Klasse sealant glaze is doing a great job of this on my own vehicle!:inspector:

Did that to my car Sunday and got the "didn't you just wash it?" comments from the neighbors. :D

Get off my lawn!

Just say back
" And looks like you havent washed yours in weeks or months even!":inspector:
Then ask them if they want to pay you for a wash that they so obviously need!:lol2:
