Need to keep the deep Carnauba look after wash.

Help! I love the warm deep look achieved on my black Chevy by using Souveran or M26 (when I'm feeling poorer) as the LSP. My problem is finding a car wash that does not leave something behind and change the look. Optimum is GREAT but it leaves a very bright shine which looks too much like a sealant for my taste. On the other end of the spectrum, M's Gold Glass leaves a warm glow that is about right, BUT it actually is more dull than my LSP.

I appreciate that these washes do not take off the LSP, but they still change the look. It is no fun to go through correcting, jeweling, glazing, and "carnaubaing" just to have the look changed by the wash.

Any ideas of a very neutral car wash?

Two things, one Poorboys was a carunaba added car wash soap.

With the car wash soaps you've suggested, why not do a QD wipe down after drying the car. Its what I do to pickup any water spots and add shine

Dodo BTBM, Dodo SN, Migliore Naturale are three that do not contain gloss enhancers and will not change the look of the LSP you have on the vehicle.

I would suggest Meguiar's M62 car wash, and as Beemerboy mentioned, why not follow with a carnauba quick detailer like Chemical guys P40 white carnauba detailer or Megs Gold Class QD~

All great advice guys, THANK YOU! So glad to know that Dodo BTBM does not have gloss enhancers! I will try it! Is M62 the same as far as not leaving anything behind?

I would wash with Dodo Supernatural, then hit it up with some Dodo Red Mist Tropical. this is my go to combo for carnauba coated paint and it does not disappoint.

Great advice on the Dodo and Milgiore soaps if you want a soap that does not leave anything on the paint.

I would recommend BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Carnauba Instant Detailer for quick detailing needes between/after washing. It is formulated with ivory (purified/ultra-refined) carnauba wax that will reinforce the carnauba protection on the paint.

If you want a booster wax, Optimum Car Wax is an excellent choice for carnauba based booster (or as a stand alone).

If you want a to use a quick detailer that doesn't leave anything behind and will not alter your LSP at all, then Meguiar's M34 Final Inspection is an excellent choice.

Indeed I have been using M34 and really appreciate that it does not add anything of consequence to the look of my LSP. Thanks for all the great advice Todd!

Don't know if you have a PNS dealer in your area but I use PNS Pearl Wash and it works great for vehicles that just need a wash with out altering the previous correction. I'm sure theres = stuff out there but of anything I've used I like it best just my .02 and its really cheap as added bonus 1 gal less than $20 takes couple drops to wash a car.

What is a PNS dealer?

PNS is chemical company 90% of their stuff sucks but now that I'm running a shop the bulk items they sell that are in that 10% save me so much money. They have polish call full throtal that's 30$ a gallon and is great for 1 stepping a daily driver, I swear by the soap I told you of it feels like baby shampoo and never strips or changes previous wax, sealant ect.. Look up PNS and see if there is one in your area they usually drive around in truck and deliver. If not let me know and I'll ship u a sample bottle np if u like I'll put u in touch with guy I deal with, I'm really not trying to endorse them or anything but that specific soap is equal or better to anything else I've tryed or used at a fraction the cost.

Jim, I would think another option would be Megs D-110 Hyper-Wash or even their new D-114 Rinse Free Express Wash. Both of these can be bought by the gallon.

I agree with Todd 100% on the BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Instant Detailer. I use Midnight Sun Carnuaba as my final stage and after washes just do a QD with the Instant detailer. Brings the look right back.
