DETAILED TODAY?
Optimum Opti-Seal, Paint Protection spray sealant

looking to streamline my detail on my jeep when the weather breaks. i have heard good things about opti seal. and like the fact its a SPRAY ON product. i am leaning towards trying it. any special prep? would p21s paint cleaner be ok? and is OS safe for decals? glass and trim ok too? guess i am looking to get away from liquids and pastes and trying some (new to me) paint protection technology.
 
PA I've used this a lot and its a great product..What I have found is apply a thin coat, by spraying onto the foam applicator. It says there is no buffing needed, but I always followup with a MFT with some QD on it.

I use this on about all customers cars now. Adds protection and real good shine!
 
I havent use this specific product but I have used this Ultima Paint Guard Plus Clearcoat Paint Sealant Car Wax and its fantastic. Very easy to use and leaves an awesome durable shine for how easy it is to apply. It takes a little getting used to as its like nothing I ever used before, you have to apply very thin, it almost feels like you arent really applying anything to the paint. If you get it to thick it will streak and you need to buff it off after it cures. I use about 1/4 of an ounce on an average sized car. 1 coat is nice, 2-3 coats of Ultima is awesome!
 
I have and use Opti-Seal. It is a nice product that is very easy to apply; as it is a wipe on and walk away product. It has very nice sealant look without being over the top. I can be applied as a base or on top of a wax. Opti-Seal actually displaces the wax and moves below it and the wax then remain on top.

Opti-Seal has actually replaced my old wheel wax as my standard wheel protection all year round. In the winter I use Opti-Seal as a top up product midway though because it is so easy to use and I don't need to worry about cure time. I can simply apply it an walk away.

its very easy to use. I've applied it to headlights and taillights as well. The beading action it gave me was great. I love the stuff. It will definitely be a staple in my arsenal.
 
As others have already said it's an easy product to use and a little goes along way. But you have to remember that the end result is directly related to the prep. It's not going to hide fill or clean anything already on the paint. The paint has to be LSP ready.
 
I'm a fan of Opti-Seal. I have seen several cars bead water for about 4 months when coated with Opti-Seal and topped with Optimum Car Wax. Apply the Opti Seal lightly, then come back several hours later using OCW almost like a quick detailer.

Very interesting. Have you noticed using a QD reducing durability? I would think it may being that most QD's are very water based.
 
I apply to all exterior surfaces, including headlights, trim, and glass - quick and easy application.
