How To: Maximize Your Drying Towel

I like to use compressed air after the flood rinse. Then use a good micro-fiber towel.

i love my guzzler supremes. but since i started using the blower i use them less.

Nice write up. It would be great if all could use the 8.0 hp Metro Master Blaster, BUT reality iswe all can't / don't have that luxury, so your review / write up on the Cobra family of microfiber towels, appropriately named the guzzler in it's various sizes is a great alternative.

you don't find that as the WW gets wetter it starts to streak?

I prefer to have the towel damp when I start on the paint. I don't notice any streaking as long as I wring it out regularly. I actually think it picks up water better once it's damp.

Hmmm I never thought to have the towel damp before I start with it. I usually never ring mine out i just grab a new one once pretty much soaked but I will ring it out and see how well that works. Great tips.

I start at the top and work my way down, saving the bottom panels for last.

These are some great tips for those who dry their entire car with a towel. It's these little shared tricks that regardless how small or simple they appear to be seem to make a huge impact when detailing a car or truck.

So many times we develop our own methods and personal comfort zones and never seem to step outside that box. Reading, learning, and experimenting are keys to improving our skills, knowledge and ultimately improving the finished product....our cars...:bigups

I only use one 16X24 Cobra guzzler to do my F150. In fact I have used one towel to do my truck and wifes car. Just wring it out and it keeps on truckin.
