Anybody going to SEMA this year?

I just got the time off approved and I'm packing my bags for SEMA in a month! This will be my third year going down there and hanging out with Dwayne and the Autogeek crew. It is definitely the highlight of my year. I am so lucky I've got a supportive wife who realizes this is an important week for me and she doesn't even ask any questions when I get back. Not that I could remember anything anyway... There is that whole Vegas Code which must be respected. ;)

I thought that was the "left" side of the Mississippi... :hmmm:

( :idea Well, I guess if you were standing North of it and looking South, it would be the "right' side...)

I'm here :yay:yay:yay:yay

Anthony , when are you arriving ?

I got here on Sunday. It was good to see you again today! We'll have to talk more when we get a chance. I got to the show late because I was pretty sick, but I'm hoping it is all out of my system now. It is going around it seems, so make sure you pick up some hand sanitizer with all the hand shaking we do.

Great to see you today too ..sorry you are a bit under the weather.
Yeah the days are long here at SEMA but they do seem to pass quickly
I'm exhausted :passout:

Ive always heard that sema isnt open to the public, so if i wanted to go next year how can i get that to work? Does owning a detailing business give me the permission or what is there that i have to do to get tickets?

Thanks

As a detailing business owner, yes you can go. You have to join SEMA and pay the membership dues, then you can register to attend the show for yourself and one guest.

I'm not sure if that is the way it still works. I usually just go under the OCDetails banner and all I've ever had to do is register with my business (need to have a business license) and pay the $15 bucks to get in. This year the price went up a bit, but Autogeek let me come in with their pass so I could be there before the show started to help set up. It's not too tough to get in though. Just register your business with them and pay the entrance fee a couple months in advance so you don't get stuck paying $75 bucks at the door like this year.

I wish I could have brought stuff home. Next year maybe we'll just have to put my car in the booth and load up the trunk and backseat instead of having them ship everything home. lol This year I got to take home a couple bottles of Wolfgang detail spritz and a couple towels, but that's it. I don't do it for free products. I've actually got 3 details scheduled this week from people I met at the show, so that is payment enough. :)
