Liquid Natty Blue

I did a 2 step process at Detail weekend with PWS with a flex/white pad on day one then day 2 i did NLB On pc, blk pad just to spead it and when i got out of my truck just now it brought a well deserved grin to my face, another great product in the poorboys line up. As soon as i can remember how to post a pic i will.

Well boys .. before I edit this thread to keep it on topic ... i have a few things to say ...

1) I really don't care if someone does or does not like some type of product

I can remember when Natty came to me to make a paste wax and I looked at him like he had two heads ... I told him no one uses paste wax anymore ..they are too hard to use and everyone prefers easy and liquids.
Well 6 years later I have eaten my share of crow as the Natty paste waxes are some of my most sold products around the world.
Some people came to me over the years and asked why I didn't have a liquid wax and I said why would i if the hard paste wax was so popular.
I can't win with everyone on every product nor do I expect to.

2) I hope people will give new products a chance and if they like it, then make it part of their detailing arsenal. If they don't care for it there are plenty of other products to use new and old.

I have to say, I do appreciate that you don't have TOO many products. It keeps it simple for n00bs like me. I can usually figure out what few products I have to choose from, and if needed can take a guess and know that I won't completely screw up, instead of being completely lost like I used to be with other companies.

Don't be afraid to ask around here, usually you'll get a straight answer

I was one of the guys that came to you all that time ago and asked you to consider/reconsider carrying a paste wax. I wish I had saved the email. I'm sure that sounds like someone jumping on the bandwagon at this point.

I revieved a sample of the Liquid Natty's Blue at the detail weekend. I polished my car with a Flex, red flex edge pad and pro polish. Got a good if not perfect correction. About 90% in my green horn opinion. Had more to do with the process than the product. I applied 1 coat of Natty's Blue at the detail weekend and the car looked great. I have been using a sealant for so long that I have become acostom to a plastic look and I have liked it. After using the LNB it look really good. I hope the protection lasts. Sunday I wiped the car down with some ONR and re-polished the front 1/4 pannel that I obviously missed Saturday. Since I was only doing one 1/4 pannel i went very slowly and hit it 2 X with about 6 passes. I did this in direct light at about 11 AM so it was very easy to see my progress unlike Saturday which was overcast. I added another coat of NLB to the whole car with the flex and red pad. Let it haze for 1/2 hr and removed. To me it is easy to remove but every so often there is a spot that the haze does not want to come off. I would say it happens 2% of the time and I cannot figure out why? Perhaps its on to thick or thin in those areas and it bonds or dries better or it not dry and needs more time.

Bottom line is, I like the look and ease of application. Beats a paste for that. Looks great and I will post durability as time goes on. I plan to focus my attention on the other cars I have so we will get an idea of what the durability is when the car is washed with PB SSS. If I do choose to QD the car should I use Spray and Gloss (I have) or QD plus (need to buy) and why?

I also have QD by Ultima.

Thanks,

Jeff

Edit the thread,:wow: Why would you edit anything out its all relevant to the topic at hand. I had a phone conversation about adding emulsifiers to wax just yesterday with an attendee at the weekend. I had the same questions as others, what did this do to the wax content? I am sure you will not skimp on quality in anything you sell but it's a viable question. Most here get gun shy when they have had bad luck with other products that have done the same things. I wanna get some and see how it works for me, after all it will save some time and time is money and I trust the reputation Pb's products have made for themselves....:bigups

I have been waiting to hear news like this sine I bought my truck in 08. I love the Natty's blue paste but a liquid would really cut down on the time I spend detailing before a show. I have tried a dozen or so products on my metallic blue paint and nothing I have used compares to the Blue. I will definitely place an order when it goes on sale.

If this were the Mothers forum and Forrest had posted "Good News! Synwax is now available in paste form" I'd groan the same way.

Wouldn't going to a paste be in the right direction in your opinion?

I mainly use liquids. I still not great at getting an even thin coat since I do not do it often.

I edit threads in my forum (Poorboy's World) when 1) it goes off topic 2) becomes a conversation between people rather than about the topic 3) if other brands are brought into my forum (there are other general topic forums within DC for that ;) )

as for wax content ... to stay to your question, wax % does not change, just the consistency .. ie thickeners etc ... there is no and will not be any less wax or quality put into this or any other product we make or we just won't make it... as a quick example ... there is not a huge difference between Bold N Bright and Bold N Bright gel but some prefer to spray and others prefer to wipe on :) hope that clears up any rumors

Well yes, it would be the right direction in my opinion. But then that direction still conflicts with the fact old products being rehashed as a 'new' product makes me groan, regardless of whether I favor the medium it's in.

would yo have been more receptive if it had a different name :hmmm: ..I have no other product like this

Well it does have a different name, "Liquid Natty's Blue", but it's nothing but the paste wax converted to liquid form. So to me it's the same product "rehashed". That's all I'm getting at.

I've never been a fan of liquid waxes, hell I love sealants more than a wax 99.98% of the time anyway.. but when I'm going to "wax".. I'll pick up my paste wax jar. (Natty's Red for instance ;))

And just FYI, if you ever did a liquid version of Natty's Red, I'd probably buy it. :p

I have not used the Natty's blue paste yet, but I like the idea of the liquid version because I apply most of my waxes with my DA polisher anyways because it is easier to get a uniform thin coat, and it is faster for me. I look forward to trying the liquid. :bigups

Autogeek is starting to give away 12 bottles of this stuff. I don't have enough reviews posted to qualify (or so I believe), so I may not be able to get my hands on a bottle just yet.

See my post on AGO - you're in. All I ask for is some pics and a well thought-out opinion. :bigups

I really will not be satisfied until Poorboy's World releases Natty's Purple Creme Wax! Not too red, not too blue... I want PURPLE! Not paste, not liquid... I want CREME!

:lol2: Seriously, best of luck with the new product. Can't wait to get my hands on Natty's Blue Liquid.
