I have an '06 Suzuki in "Racy Red" (single stage) and I'm having problems with cloudiness after applying any sealant or wax. It's fine after an application of a cleaner such as Megs UC, Swirl X or Scratch X, but as soon as I go for a polish such as #7 or DC #2 or a sealant (synthetic OR carnuaba) CLOUDS, and I mean really severe clouding. And YES I have been putting the waxes on whisper thin.
My processes have been:
Apply with PC, remove by hand with MF (or terry cloth)
Apply by hand, remove with MF or terry
So far the only difference between removing the wax with terry or MF is that with the terry I can feel how slick the surface is. QDs don't work and even though they fade somewhat after about a week or a full wash, they are really getting under my skin and ruining my enthusiasm for detailing (as well as my confidence in my ability).
