I don't mean to detract from the sympathy that Steve deserves but as someone who has had this done twice in the past 18 months I would advise her to "just say NO!" Knowing what I know now, I say this in all seriousness. Of course hind sight is always 20/20.

I had artificial disc's put in my back last June still can not walk more than about 100 feet without back pain forcing me to sit down.
