just broke my foot and sprained my ankle :(

no cane here.. i did ask .. they said that's old school and slowed down the healing process :hmmm:

Interesting, I even continued the cane use for a period after the boot came off. It (the cane, a really nice piece of hickory) was great (with or w/o the boot) for clearing aisles of dawdlers while shopping. :D Places light Sam's Club, Home Depot, Lowes are great places to get walking in while in the boot. Wide aisles which allow you to maintain a steady walking pace, and importantly a solid even surface.

Sorry to hear about your fall. Sounds like your getting better, thank God. I had something simular happen back in 86, so I understand. I fell your pain bro. Good luck.

i had the same thoughts, but the Doctor said no need for the cane

thanks :)

Though I would prefer not to have to rely on the cane, I have found it to be quite handy for reasons both obvious and not so obvious (as Clint said in the movie Pale Rider ).

I understand that .. and I'll probably have my crutches for the trip to DF as there is no way I'll be able to walk through airports in a few weeks :passout::surrender:surrender:surrender:surrender

That's why they have those golf carts all over the place. Knock off that older couple and take up an entire bench to yourself. :)

Mine has metal in it. Up the sides for stability.

But if your's has a laminated rubber/plastic bottom they're gonna want to examine it.

hey if they want to give me a seat they can play with it all they want :notme:

Gonna be fun going through security at airports.

I know what that is like. I have 2 steel rods in my right leg and one steel rod in the left leg as well as a few screws. :( I don't even walk through the scanner. I walk up to them and immediately tell them about the rods in my leg and they pull me aside and wand me.
