I wanted to mention that most boat soaps contain wax. and that is what
caused the dulling on the hull. I did not mention that in the video.

So constant sun and saltwater had nothing to do with it?

Was the not-washed part submerged (i.e. out of the sun)?

So you're telling me the unwashed side - the side that doesn't have "wax buildup" as you call it - didn't get direct sunlight? And you say that a wash shampoo "caused" this "wax buildup?" And it just happened to be the side that didn't get full-on sun that looked good.

I'm just curious if you may be referring to oxidation - which may or may not be aided in appearing by using a wax. (i.e. clogging the pores of the gelcoat)
