Brought out the Crystal Glo again...still amazing!

Well, I haven't had any time so far this year to do a complete polish on the car...been waiting to buy my first rotory.
But I figured my car still needs some protection, so I grabbed my bottle of Crystal Glo and laid down a coat...

As far as one-step treatment goes, I'm very impressed (again!) with this stuff. Goes on easy, comes off easy...
It has some obvious cleaning/polishing/filling components to it, and adds a very noticeable amount of depth and shine but also brought out a nice, deep 'wet look' to my pearl blue metalic...

Almost all of the light spider-webbing has disappeared as well, which also impressed me.

Now to see how long a single coat protects for!

From what I gather on the web site its a private labled product line of polishes, soaps, wax, etc.

The one thing that remains constant in detailing, product is 10% and application is 90%

I post that on a lot of detail forums, when someone is looking for the "best" of something.

Get some pics up of you car, would enjoy seeing them.

Thx

Looks like a favorite amongst our neighbors to the north.

How did you come to hear about the product? Which products are you using? How long have you been using it?

I was recommended it by a user on this forum, some years ago, actually...
The only product I've tried is the 'Paint Treatment'...and I bought it thru Home Hardware.

I've used it when I needed protection but without going thru the entire machine polishing, protectant layering ritual...and have been happy with the results.

Not knowing what "Home Hardware" was, I googled and found it to apparently be a Canadian concern. My "postal code" was invalid. :)

So this is a one-step product? You applied by hand?

It's an AIO.
I've found it to work better by hand than by machine. Surprisingly, it seemed to streak more via DA polisher than by hand. :hmmm:

Their shampoo is very nice.

Yup, just a quick 'hand job'...did the whole car in 25 minutes or so...
I also used it on ALL the windows and it's safe to use on textured plastic too...no white residue left behind and no issues with windshield wipers...
The effect is similar the Rain-X on the windows, just not QUITE that well.

I can't tell if that is a good or bad thing. :D The smearing and streaking with Rain X is horrible and it makes my wipers chatter. I just can't see any value in using stuff on the windshield. I just advocate to all my acquaintances to buy good windshield wipers and to clean the windshield regularly.

I've always taken good care of my wipers and cleaned my windshield...the wife, however, does neither, and her wipers work amazing!

My comparison to Rain-X is with the beading effect only...they roll up the windshield on the highway. With the wipers on, there is no more noticeable streaking/chattering than without...
