First Time...

I am working on my first "detail" on a 98 Honda, I have a couple questions someone might be ablt to answer... It's hard to capture everything with a camera and all I have to go by is other peoples images. I started out on a test area w/ PB SSR1 w/ Orange Pad didn't remove the swirls so I moved up SSR 2 then 2.5 w/ Orange Pad, I tried 2.5 w/ the yellow pad still some still remained. All of these are only visible in direct 500watt light. An overcast of clouds is outside, but nothing is visible when I pull the car out and look. My question is, is it possible to get every single swirl mark out? I only have after pictures of the PB SSR2.5 Orange and then SSR1 White nothing else; any suggestions or comments?

Well, that depends.

My suggestion would be to stay realistic. is this an everyday driver? If so, then it may not be worth the effort - keeping a vehicle 100% swirl free is going to be a task if you're driving it all the time.

Over the past five years I drove this car maybe 2000 miles, but before that it was a daily driver for many years. In its 11 year life it has never been detailed, just washed... Their is a show coming up next weekend I just wanted to see what might be possible w/ a PC and because I wanted to get into detailing for a hobby. Realistically it is going to be hard for me as a first time, I just wanted to see what would be possible or I wanted to have something to base this final product off of when I am done, since I don't have a pro. here to help.

PC may not have enough umph for the job. Try a Flex.
Or bring it to Rhinebck this weekend and see if you can talk Steve into helping. :idea

The Flex definately has more power than the PC, You may try going to a 4" orange or yellow pad it is suppose to add some cut, I only use 4" pads on the PC. I save the 6.5 for the flex.
