Any members work out regularly?

I do triathlons........

Hey Patrick... I did a bunch of triathalons when I was back at the peak of my athletic prowess! I really had to quit when we started having kids.... 4 boys will keep you real busy!!!!

My specialty was swimming. I was always out in the lead with the swimming, Mid-pack in biking...

Running? :passout::passout::passout: Not good!!! :lmfao

But I still loved it!

I joined a gym at the beginning of the year. I work out using machine weights (no free weights) 3 days a week. Basic stuff chest press, shoulder press, leg press, abs, leg curls etc. Cardio is 4 days a weeks - bike - level 12 - 18+ mph - 20 minutes 6 miles, sometimes 25 minutes 7.5 miles. The elliptical machine level 11 - 96-98 strides per minute - 20 minutes 2 miles. I sweat my ass off on these two machines.

Hey Beemer, I'm pretty close to you, I will be 54 this month and I have been a weightlifter/bodybuilder for the past 32 years. Longest layoff in that time was about 2 weeks.

I go to the gym every day at noon and get in 40 minutes of cardio...and weights as well...for 54 I'm in pretty good shape...just had a full physical and the Doctor said all looked good
Good work Dave :bigups

Which gym do you go to? I actually got a free 5 day guest pass to Anytime Fitness right across from Trader Joe's on SR Ave. and am starting that gig tomorrow. The guy told me they're giving a free first month and said he'd work with me on the processing fees and everything. I'm stoked that I'll finally be joining a gym :yay I really want to focus more on my core section and legs as I can't do a whole lot at home, so I'll be doing lots of work in those two areas. I want to improve my fitness/strength overall but again those are the two areas I can only do so much about when working out at home.

I was born with a problem w/ my aorta, and although it's ben fine since I was 21 days old (Yea, they operated on me that young :passout: ), I still want to make sure I keep the ticker in great shape.

As for the rest of you, keep up those extreme workouts :bigups :lmfao

Does driving by a gym every day on the way to work count ? Belonging to three forums is a work out.To be honest i just lost 65lbs and want to loose another 20 or so been very hard too do.Unable to spend much time in the sun or overheat my body i have a recumbent bike .

I noticed this morning that my 6 pack muscles are starting to show :D I've got a liiiiiiittle bit of belly fat left to trim off, and with the exercises I've been doing, I should be lookin' good in the next few weeks. :cool:

It's amazing what exercise and trying to stick to a healthy diet will do :dnaughty

Good for you, and your pooch :bigups I try to take my dog out every day, and on the days I run he comes along too. He does pretty well (80 lb. hound).

I agree detailing is good for cardio. Especially when you're pressed for time and are rushing around the vehicle ;)
