Removing Glue from Plastic Mirrors

I have an 05 Harley Davidson F-250 with chrome covers over the side mirrors and I want them removed. It seems like the present owner might have glued them on cause there is slight amount of glue on the sides. How would i remove the glue from the plastics?

3M adhesive remover would be my suggestion...however read the label on that just to make sure that its plastic safe....the adhesive remover that I have is and its about the same as the 3M...you can get good adhesive removers like 3M at hobby and craft type stores
