My aunt asked me to replace a headlight bulb in her car while her and my uncle were gone for a few days. After replacing the light bulb, I decided to clean the car up for her. Her and her husband (my uncle) own greenhouses/a dog so its used for everything, hauling plants, dog carrier, junk carrier. I did his car not to long ago 2005 GMC Envoy (trashed interior) It was mostly an interior job, as the exterior just got a quick wash. I didn't take any exterior pics as it wasn't really bad (dirty) just a lot of tar and the paint is in poor condition.

Interior
Vacuum with shop vac (6hp) - vacuuming, brusing, vacuuming, brushing...
Carpet/seats spots treated with 303 carpet cleaner
Carpets/seats scrubbed with a mix of Meguiars APC (4 ounces) and Oxy Brite (1-2 tablespoons)
Carpets/seats "Extracted" with the BLGM (I emptied the dirty water container 25 times)
All interior panels scrubbed with Meguiars APC (4:1)
All interior panels protected with 303.
All glass cleaned with Stoners Invisible Glass.

Some 50/50 shots, the passenger side floor was worse as there was a baby seat in the back on that side.

After

The carpet is pretty wore, so a lot of the darker spots are just where the carpet is wore/torn through, not dirt.

Sorry for the lack of pics. Towards the end I was concentrating on finishing as they were coming home soon. And for the lack of after pics as I finished 10 minutes before they came home (it was a surprise "clean job")

Nice work and very extensive at that...I've never taken the car apart in order to clean it....again nice work....I'm sure your Aunt and Uncle where very happy

great job :bigups:
Nice to see the LGM held up for the task.
Not too much talk about it anymore.

very nice job! took care of some odor to I'm sure! I use both AM triple 777 and Kids & pets with LGM with great results.

Looks good. How many times did you have to empty the tank? I hear it fills up fast so there is frequent dumping needed.

In the description he said it was emptied 25 times. :)That's crazy!

wagonproject how long did the entire job take to complete? It really looks great!:rockon

What is a BLGM?

Whatever it is, you sure know how to use it! Man that is some dirty water you were pouring out! Taking the seats out must take some work but I can see how it enabled you to get the interior so clean.

Great job!

Thanks! I love doing interiors like this. I just wish time would permit me to remove the seats and everything each time. So much nicer and easier to work.

Thanks! And yeah I can't believe at what it picks up. Awesome little machine for the money. Though I wish I could get a true extractor, but college and a girlfriend make that hard, lol.

Sweet turn around

Thanks!

Great turnaround you did on the interior!:bigups

Thanks!

Thanks! I've been meaning to pick up some of that Kids and Pets. Where did you find it in the store? Like next to the vacuum/cleaners or? Thanks!!

Thanks! And yeah 25 times. Almost 26. I mean it fills up fast if theres a lot of stuff to pick up. I wouldn't say frequent if you were just doing minimal stuff. But she had apple cider, pop, lotion spilled everywhere. Some spots were from 3+ years ago so it took some time.

lol, yeah it was a lot. I would say it was about 15 hours with a few water breaks in between and standing back and staring at it, lol. And thanks!

Thanks!

Great job!

Its the Bissel Little Green Machine (if you get it get the heated version, may be a few bucks more, but worth every penny!)

Yeah I didn't think the dirty water would ever end, lol. Took a while to finally get clear water coming through the house. Seats/console weren't to bad to take out on this one. I've had a few others where theres no way I could get the bolts to move (even with a breaker bar or pipe). And thanks!!

Wow - 25 times - That sure is a very nice thing you did for the Aunt and Uncle, but the outcome was well worth it (for the all of you)

very good job, i like cleaning carpet too :)

id only take the seats out if it was my own car i owned or a good friends that was payin me !
