I have some scratches on aHarley Saddle Bag, Pearl Black (looks like Charcoal Grey). I have Turtle wax Rubbing and Polishing compounds. I was going to try to use thepolishing first with a rotary at around 1200 rpms what process would you reccomend these bags are a plastic composition.

Start with the least aggressive polish and a polish pad on the rotary...If you can lower the speed down a bit as well 800 would be my guess..You might start by hand and see how that works just in cases it works.if they are true plastic and painted then you might be able to work out some of the scratches but be careful the paint might not that thick and with a rotary it can burn pretty quick... keep that pad light on the surface and let the product do the work with the heat. plastic is hard to work with if its just painted

Ialso Have some McGuires scratch x do u think that might do it. I have orange, blue , black, and white pads for my polisher.:thanks

I'm not a fan of SX its aggressive and can create more problems than it solves..as for the pad...which ever one is the polishing pad is the one I would start with

Remember in detailing...start with the least aggressive and work up until you get the results you want...again careful on the plastic with heat from a rotary
