We had three new apron prototypes made...the last prototype had too many flaws and was rather expensive..so we redesigned it in three different materials ...
1st is made of our glass towel material and is very light but sturdy
2nd is made from our Mega-towel material and is very plush, has a cushioned neck and is also very absorbent
3rd is made from Waffle weave towel material and is also very absorbent.

Please don't vote by color as the colors are not set yet, but we did get much better pricing and they are also a bit longer to cover splatter areas better.

I just took a look at all 3 of those towels in my office and its a tough decision. I would like to see the apron made out of the glass towel material. It wouldn't even feel like you are wearing an apron. Plus when the heat hits again it shouldn't insulate the heat in as much keeping you cooler.

The orange one looks super. Now, you can get Pockets to wallow around on the cars to dry them off.

yes it is really nice but i think you might get hot wearing it :hmmm:

that was my first thought ..it felt like it was barely on and it flexs real well too ..

the waffle weave is also very light feeling :inspector:

Steve, something in blue please. :D I kind of like the Waffle Weave but whatever you want to send me to try out is just fine. The biggest one you have is probably the right size. :D Modeling lessons are in order for Pockets, he isn't smiling in any of the pictures.

I voted for the glass towel material although I do like the bright orange color the best.:passout:

I voted for the orange #2. I prefer the stronger appearing material. I would also like to ask about re-inforced pocket corners. The first thing that went awry on my one and ony detailing apron were the pockets of the apron.

Will these be available next month....I spent my allotment for this month on the QD+.

I voted for mega towel material. Now I am having 2nd thoughts. The glass towel material might "catch" less on my hands etc.

Kirk these are in the prototype phase and once decided, it will be 6-8 weeks before they are made.

I don't have one in front of me right at the moment, but I believe they were heavily stitched on the corners of the pockets, and if they are not when i get back to the office on Monday and double check, we can always put in a request to have it done :bigups ..that's what is great about prototypes..before we go into production, we get a chance to look at the pros and cons ... this batch was made much longer than the last as too much leg was exposed:redface: (lol) or you could still get too dirty... if you also notice we put less material up top as it is not needed and will only make you hot in the summer months ... more to examine and think about before the final order goes in, but thanks to everyone taking a look and commenting so we can bring you exactly what you want :)

What about a Velcro loop on the top for the power cord? I thought that was a good idea on the Edge apron.
BTW - Whichever's the lightest material gets my vote.

we found the loop to be a PIA ... putting it in taking it off ... being able to put your machine down and walk away or answer the phone or use the bathroom ...I've always just thrown the cord over my should when working on the roof, hood or trunk, but prefer to let it hang when working the sides...

the velvet smooth (green) seems the lightest but the waffle weave was also pretty light and very different :hmmm:

Never had the Edge apron myself so the loop LOOKED like a good idea but I guess in reality....nope.
If the waffle weave is a lightweight material, I'd prefer the waffle weave - even tho I voted for the glass MF.

I like the coral colored one.

How about a robe? that way I could polish in just my speedo and dress socks without offending the neighbors? :D
