What to purchase, I'm so confused!!

OK, I know this question has been asked ??? like thousands of times by Newbies. But I don't know what to purchase. I'm tired of purchasing products off the shelves from the local Auto Parts stores. The product quality of mass produced items seem to be going down hill. I'm looking for someone who works with a product/products that can give me a direction to go.
I was looking at Griot's, but after reading reviews. I don't think that would be a good purchase. I though of Zaino, but don't want to use an engineering manual to apply a car product. A local car enthusist told me to look at Swissvax, but OMG, I don't want to sell one car to clean another car.
So what is the most popular product that everyone is happy with. If there is one product line that will work on all my vehicles, that would be a plus.
I have 5 cars to clean, they are as follows:
Pontiac GXP Black/Black-leather
GMC truck White/Blue-cloth
Chevy truck Black/Grey-cloth
Nissan Titan White/Grey-cloth
Mustang Silver/Black-cloth
And a CBR1000rr Candy Apple Red.

I don't have a PC as of yet, but if it's a huge plus and time saver. I'll look into purchasing one.
I guess I need :help:

How you use the product/products is much more important than what brand of product you use.
You can buy some very good products from your local auto parts stores.
Meguiar's happens to be one that I have used and it certainly is not a product line that I would say is going downhill.
If you have used it and aren't happy with it, then making a change is probably the thing to do.
For economy, availability, ease of use by hand, (or by machine which you don't yet have :)), it's pretty hard to beat.

If you intend to do any paint correction or have vehicles with severe oxidation, the PC would be a good investment.
I have and use one, but got by quite nicely without one for a lot of years.
They are definitely a time and effort saver.

Mothers Carnauba Cleaner Wax is a good product for newer paint conditions and new vehicles and doesnt require much elbow grease to apply ! check out my thread in the showcase ! cheers !

im just gonna be getting into the polishing game real soon as i can afford the porter cable !

Funny you mention Mothers, my neighbor gave me some to try. I was really impressed.
As far as Meguiars, I've used them for years and it's just isn't doing it for me anymore. I tried the new NXT on half the car/the other half with Mothers. Mothers was easier to use and gave a better final result.

The Mother's is definitely a good product.
I am surprised that you thought it was better than NXT 2.0. One thing to keep in mind with NXT 2.0. It has no cleaners and should be used on paint that is already in good condition.

If your looking for OTC then try Durogloss or if you what to order then Poorboy's. IMO

:exactly: I second that. Megs makes good products. Mother's is not bad (IMO), but the best bang for the buck is Poorboy's. However, as Zoom points out Duragloss is really good stuff too. Although, I have not been successful finding it OTC.

Duragloss? never heard of it nor seen it. I think I'll just order some Poorboys products and give it a shot. Thanks for the advice guys, appreciate it.
