Talk About Power!!

Just One More Coat
Over the weekend I cleaned up a Porsche Carrera...its the Doctor that my wife works for....I pick up and delivery the cars...he lives about 15 miles away, so on Sunday AM about 8 AM I'm headed back to the house...I stepped on the gas just a bit, to get a feel for the acceleration...that car is a ticket machine...I had to really watch the speed as it wanted to run upwards of 70 plus, with no effort.

I don't get to drive the cars I clean much...and wouldn't have it any other way, but this one was a bit farther than my customer base...

I'm close to the Doctor and I told him that I would have a speeding ticket inside of a week and no lience with in 3 months if I drove a car like that.:D

I hear you...I normally go to people or have them come to me and I rarely if ever drive the car unless its to pull it in or out of the garage. I worked on a Aston Martin Vantage and I took they asked me if I could go get gas in it and just add it to the bill...I said sure, and I took off like a rocket...needless to say I found a gas station far away...lol...didn't get a ticket but if I had that car I would have one by now...

Luckily for me I can't afford one...:D

I've not done one of those but from what I've seen of them they are rockets...Even the Corvette that I have worked on many times didn't compare with this power IMO...It seemed to me that the pedal timing to acceleration was unbelievable...not like a big V8 that takes a few seconds to wind up...

Your butt dyno needs calibrated.
The Porsche has 233 cubic inches and makes 355 HP. It weighs 3131 and is 7 tenths slower than a new Corvette 0-60
Both cars weigh 3100 but the vette has more torque and power .
The vette will outperform the Porsche for a fraction of the price.
With a few grand of modifications which still leaves it at less than half the money it would really kick ass on the Porsche.
The Corvette lacks the snob appeal but it wins on all others.

Butt dyno:rofl

That's funny ...either way they are both fast cars, it just seemed from the ones that I had driven the carrera seemed more responsive
