Odd problem with paint

I have one small area on the front of my hood that I am having a strange problem with, a couple weeks ago I polished and waxed the whole truck, I used PoorBoys SSR1 and finished up with the Nattys Blue wax. every since then this spot, which is only about one foot square, will haze up like I didn't remove the wax good enough, if I take my microfiber cloth and give it a quick buff it will go away, but the next day I can go down in the garage and the spot is back. Any ideas of what may be going on here?
 
It might be the polish wasn't removed well enough too....I would go back over the area with the SSR1, and then re-apply the Nattys
 
Ok, I will go back and hit it again with the polish and see what happens........ I can hear my wife already..."Your rubbing on your truck again!?" LOL

I just picked up on the last part of your post. You said: "rubbing". Are you applying the polish by hand?
 
I was wondering if perhaps the polish hadn't broken down and left minor hazing when I saw that word. I understand the wife lingo thing.
 
Well there is no hazing at all after I polished it, it was clear as could be, after I waxed it and let it sit is when it showed up. Another factor that may be playing here is that my garage is air conditioned and this showed up after I let it sit outside for a day. :hmmm: could humidity be a factor?

What color is the car? the hazing that you are talking about is that kind of smoky looking or haze that is associated with left over product?

The odd part of this is that its only one part of the hood..sounds to be like a prep, but then the whole hood would do that...
 
The truck is black.

The look of the haze is kind of a smoky milky looking, but it goes away with a light buff from a MF towel.

Thanks, know that it is now. What is happening and because its on hood where there is heat from the engine, its the oils in the product that are not cured that are causing the smokiness / hazing that you are seeing, you will see this this with black or darker colors more than any others...I have the same problem with my JB BMW...this happened today with a JB MB that I did....try this as a fix...take some ice cold water in a spray bottle and after you have finished the car, spray the water on the area and then wipe that off...the cold water will set the oils in the product up and let them cure so the hazing that you are seeing will not show up.....This is something that I have fought with on my cars every summer for some time...the cold water rinse was the solution!
 
Thanks Beemer! I will give that a try. I haven't had the time to mess with it yet, been too busy, hopefully this weekend I will get some time.

I gave thought to that as well, and his could be something under the wax or product..but cold water rinse cured the hazing that I had..his description of the area sounded just like what I was seeing on mine...with the MB that I did last Saturday...the hood was the only part that the hazing showed up....it was hot here in CA and the engine heat was pretty intense...after the cold water rinse and wipe down it did not return!
