Help me choose a LSP

budman3

Detail time!
Alright DC members, I need a little help. Tomorrow I am doing a detail and need help choosing a LSP. The car in question is red and it is single stage ... anybody have any suggestions? It will be a single day detail so I won't be able to do multiple layers.

Here is what I have on hand:
Carnauba-
P21S / S100 (regular)
Natty's
Natty's Blue
Natty's Red
#26
EX
Liquid Souveran
PwC blue
Collinite 845
OCW (new and old)

Sealants:
EX-P
DG 105
JW AJ
Klasse SG
Wolfgang DGPS
UPP / UPPS
PwS
NXT
DP Surface Sheild

Sounds good Charles! This is a very special car and since I haven't worked with red (nor single stage ... ) I wasn't sure what the best product would be :).

I also have both new PB glazes as well as Opti-seal and Poly-seal...

FWIW, A typical reply will/would be Opti-Seal or Zaino since they weren't on your list. :D

Seriously, if the NXT is version 2, I don't see how you can go wrong with any of them. The original NXT would look good, but many people knock its durability.

Just plan on having some red pads/applicators after the job. :)

I'm going to fill a bucket with water and once the pad is dirty, into the bucket it will go so the paint won't harden on the pad, hopefully making it easier to clean after the fact. I think right now I'm leaning more towards Black Hole + a Carnauba ... but I probably won't be able to make up my mind until I actually do it.

Prep is they key, so I'm sure anything you use will look great.
If you have the time the Wolfgang topped with natty's red.

Have fun

Of course you know that I am going to say Liquid Souveran as the LSP. My favorite new glaze is Black Hole. I would think that LS and BH would really be a great combo.

I almost went with that but the owner raved about the way P21S looked on his car so I ended up going with that once the finish was polished out. I hear P21S 100% looks pretty impressive on red so maybe next time around. Thanks for the suggestions, a little bit of everything, which should be expected I guess.

And just to fill you guys in a little bit, here is a cropped picture of the hood of the vehicle partially detailed today, any guesses what it is (a proper post will be made of the detail later tonight hopefully :))???

Hmmmmm, I'll take a stab a say a Ferrari
Looking good so far, can't wait to see the whole thing.

512 Boxer

P21S 100% looks amazing on that car. Just so happened to see one today.

Ok, I will bite on this one as well. My guess is a 1984 Ferrari 512 BBI.

Is the paint free of orange peele? Surface looks good. Look forward to the detail pictures.

Edit: I guess I did not read the previous post very well. I think that I guessed the same as blk45. Oh well it is swtill my guess even if I did copy it.
