Hi all,

Anyone know a good carpet stainer remover that I can get over the counter? If it is better to get the product online and probably it is, provide me a link. I usually shop at autogeek. Thanks everyone!!

You can get Folex at about any store...thats a starter...then you can also spot clean rugs with a good APC mixed with water, use a brush and shop vac after

REd Thunder from Malco, is one sold at the parts stores around here or off the MALCO truck. They also have a carpet and upstory cleaner that has worked well for us and many others in the area. Otherwise try the APC method, Ive got APC from POORBOYS WORLD, Ill try that myself next time.

Woolite does the trick! I used to buy specific products and this does the job! Also good to clean leather!

Armor All "Oxy Magic" Carpet and Upholstry Cleaner FTW !
One spray bottle lasts about 4 cars total (matts, floors and seats)
for 8 bucks or whatever it costs, A STEAL AND A++ a must have for the weekend detailer !

and if that doesnt work
Kleen Flo Carpet Kleen
OR
APC with elbow grease if you have to use APC on your carpets as a last resort for a stain, also be careful your cleaner isnt too colored or it will make a stain itself ! !

I just recently started to use Folex and now I am wondering how I have lived without it. Its such a fantastic product and like others have said you can get it at alot of different stores.

Since the thread's back up and it's a good subject...

Good ones I've used are:
Spot Shot - works very well
3M Adhesive Remover - works great but smells
Ps21 TAW - has worked extremely well (not over the counter, but some people have it already for other uses)
I've also used maybe 3 brands of Citrus Cleaners which work very well, but technically the good ones were not OTC
I've currently got a can of Zep I haven't tried yet and an industrial brand from a janitorial supply.

The one I'm really looking to try out is Blue Magic Carpet and Stain Spot Lifter. I've heard nothing but good about it. Supposedly it's one of those best kept secrets. My next trip down to the good ol USA I plan on getting a couple cans.

save yourself the high prices of other brands and just try out the armor all stuff i mentioned, its less money yes but when used properly can achieve amazing results, just look at some of my pictures posted in the gallery of carpets I have shampooed and cleaned using this exact cleaner, proof is in the pudding ! cheers !

The Blue Magic is pretty good, but I've read that it has "dangerous" chemicals in it, so if you are somebody that looks at what's in something, this is something to consider.

303 is another often overlooked product. The fabric/vinyl cleaner is just a diluted version of the cleaner/spot remover, so you'd be better off with that.
