Tire gel with good durability.

Hi all,

I know alot of you out there probably have multiple tire gels/tire sprays vice versa for your tire care purposes.

From your experience what do you guys think is the most durable tire gel/tire spray?

Ive used the wolfgang tire gel and it was good though slinging was an issue. Right now I am using this:
Wheel Wax Extreme Black Tire Dressing

Not too bad either. Next I have my eye on PB Bold N Bright and see how well that goes for me.

Can you define durable?

Are you looking for some thing that will not wear off in a week or two or with stand washes on a regular bases?

exactly beemerboy!!! thanks for the clearup. That is exactly what I am looking for.

I said two things, you sound like my wife...just say yes:D

B-n-B by PB is one that I like...it seems to last a week or better with a decent shine, even threw a wash or two.

Currently I am testing More Shine by Stoners and so far it seems to be last as good as B-n-B same finish IMO..faster dry time and no sling

Okay ive been in "search" of a "go to" tire dressing/gel for awhile now going from various brands but i think ive finally found one that i like :bigups Its called Black Magic Titanium Tire Gel !! Yes its pretty thick and clear so you would use one of those hand sponges to apply ( it actually comes with a good applicator :) ) and yes it does spit somewhat but honestly i dont mind too much since both my cars are black so it really isnt as noticable. One thing i did notice this morning was after i ran one of my rides thru a carwash i noticed that the gel i applied last weekend was still very noticable and still on. I was pretty amazed since normally any gel/dressing i would use would easily come off after a any wash so thus far i would reccomend this. i never heard of Black Magic before but this i really like :bow

Black Magic Titanium Tire Wet Gel

I like Pinnacle Black Oynx. Sure it is expensice compared to others but a little goes a long way it lasts me two weeks with a wash in between. However, I rarely do not apply another coat when I wash the car.

All that said, I have only tried DP Tire Gel. It looks great, but does not give me the same durability. I would like to try PB BnB and Surf City's beyond black.

:exactly: :bigups The Black Oynx is my favorite gel so far.

Not a gel, but.....

Since I wash weekly, (more often if needed:)), and I use the BnB as my cleaner and dressing at every wash, I can't' really comment om durability.
I actually use the BnB as my combination cleaner and dressing. I spray it on the tires, scrub it with a brush, wipe the tire with a towel and I'm done.
Matte black finish is just what I am looking for.

When myself and Eric (blk45) was at DF this yr, the great folks from 4 Star let us use their tire gel on my Mazda and blk45 apply it for me and the long drive home it still look great and lasted for a few weeks on my tires. :bigups

The Gel I still have 1/3 to 1/2 bottle left of is the white thick armor all extreme tire gel, and i personally have lost my taste for armor all since going to Meguiars, Mothers, Kleen Flo, and other upper cost brands but for being an armor all product it shines very well, very durable at least 2 to 3 weeks garunteed durability and i usually find myself just cleaning the tire and not needing to re apply the gel until another 2 weeks after the guideline above .

I will be hoping to find the Megs Hot Shine Gel sometime soon, I currently also have the spray version and am very satisfied but gels are the way to go or a true milky dressing meant for rubber such as megs hyper dressing but too bad u have to buy a gallon of it !

ive heard good things about megs endurance purple tire gel as well

Meguiar's #38 was a favorite of mine. (Been discontinued, though.) I liked it much better than Endurance.

Best one I have yet to try was a gift from Autogeek, thank you very much, Giovanna Tire Shine and Protectant Gel. Like it very much, 2 coats seems to double the shine and seems to last as well as any.

I'm not very big on tire gels, but as Angelo mentioned, the 4 Star worked really well, looked good and didn't sling, even after driving hours at highway speeds.

I'm still a huge fan of Shining Monkey's No Spitting tire spray. It produces a natural matte finish and you can drive off right after using it without worrying about sling. I've used a lot of products and this is by far my favorite!

Got to love that name!

I've not really done much with gel type products. I've used Megs Endurance, and it's OK. I am a fan of the Zaino Z16 tire dressing, but lately I've just been using Megs Hot Shine. I buy the one in the pump spray bottle. I've not yet had any problems with sling, and it will last a while. It'll lose some gloss in the rain, but the tires still look good.
