PwC & Pwc Blue

I have used both of these products recently by hand using a DMT. I now own a PC7424 (purchased from Detail City by my mother in law for Xmas)

My question is while using the PwC & PwC Blue with the PC -

What is the performance difference of the PwC when using a LC white or LC Grey pad?

or

Should PwC be strictly used with a white LC pad?

I am guessing each vehicle's finish will determine which pad to use if both pads can be used with the PwC.

Since I have no idea what a white or grey is intended use might be, I'll substitute some terms.
If you want to correct some blemishes in the paint, I would use a Polishing pad, color optional.
For maximum protection from the product, a Finishing pad would probably be best. Personally, I would use the polishing pad and PC for correction and hand apply the product for the LSP.
 
It definitely depends on the finish and what you are trying to accomplish. The white pad will give you a good polish and conceal light swirls. You just have to buff it in on speed 4 and you should be fine. Follow up with a wipedown with you DMT to get the residue off. This process would be used as a one step. If you are using a gray pad I only recommend this after a swirl remover treatment like the PB SSR line. It will not remove any light defects just add depth, clarity and protection to your finish. By using the gray pad the PwC becomes like a LSP (last step product). If you have PB Natty's wax you can top your PwC immediately without the need to worry about curing times. Natty's will really amp up your shine. If you have any other questions we are all here to help.

9D - I used PwC by hand before following the product with EXP and NB. My shelf is all PB products. I kind of thought that depending on the finish and what I was trying to accomplish would determine which pad to use.

When using the polishing pad on speed 4, are you using it to just spread the product on to a certain finish meaning oily or until it almost disappears. - since it will not breakdown? Or just do a very thorough spreading around and then wipe off with DMT. Am I making sense?

When using it with a white pad it will do cleaning, polishing, and light correction and should be use at a speed of about 5, work it until it almost disappears, then buff ..you will also get some protection. Using a gray pad will work it more like a light cleaner and wax, here I'd use it at a speed of 2-3 maximum to spread it out.. then let it haze(do the whole car) and buff off.
