Yesterday I visited a site I used to spend a lot of time at and my computer contracted a Trojan Horse Virus ...it got into everything and basically shut me down today:wall I had to disconnect it and take it in for debugging...:inspector: ..to make things worse, my laptop won't work in my office :hmmm::hmmm:...so I have a repair guy coming in the morning:surrender

why must technology mock me:crazy2:

:puterx:

Sorry Steve.

Computers..... like women - Can't live without them though sometimes we would like to.:crazy2:

I assume you are running virus protection, whether it is Mcaffe or Norton. Usually most DSL/Cable providers offer free virus protection from one of those companies...and as long as you keep them up to date with their definitions that usually should suffice.

Good luck with the computer recovery.

I don't understand. Do you have a virus protector with current updates running? Did you download something? Do you have basic adware, spyware protection as well? If so, your software should have caught it and quarantined it. What about your website? Is it "safe"? :wow:

mac's don't get virus's
 :hmmm:

99% of viruses are made for PC's and won't affect Apple's operating system(s). Most virus creators try to do the most damage so thy aim at the operating system running on the vast majority of computers, that being of course Microsoft Windows. Should Apple be able to eat into Microsoft's market share, you may start seeing more viruses made to harm Mac's. Until then, Mac's are fairly safe.

Not true, read this link,

Apple - Get a Mac - Not on a Mac

yes I have PC-cillin and it did quarantine it, but it could not remove it all ... I kept getting warnings, even to open DC and my e-mail ..it also said the virus had very low harm:confused: I can't stand pop-ups for that kind of stuff..so off it went to the repair shop:dnaughty

yes my site is safe and has no bugs or virus's :D

Well the computer died :passout: so I had a new one built for me and it runs pretty fast :rockon
