Interior Vacs - Expensive!!

Why? My wet/dry vac was $49.95 at the Depot. OK - let's say the auto detailing one is better ... so charge 5X as much. That'll be $250. Mytee's are 1K!!:wow: Wow. So - what's the best bang for your buck for a guy who does 2-3 cars a week?

Its more about HP to get better lift than anything....I have a Craftsman 5 HP wet / dry shop vac and it has as much lift as any that I have seen...The auto detailing and Mytee are designed for high usage...along the lines of multiple cars a day, they are built very heavy duty to take the on going usage...for a guy like you I would be looking a Craftsman or anything along those lines...just make sure to get the higher HP models.....mine also has a 5 gallon bucket...however I am like you 5 cars a month or so...I've never had any issues with filling up the bucket
 
Thanks Beemerboy ... nice lookin' e39's there. Mainly I thought you/others were going to say the Mytee's/etc. were stronger lift to extract more water. Also true?

Thanks the Black one is mine the other one was a detail job I did for a neighbor.

Lift is more about HP....not knowing what the HP is on the Mytee it could have a bit more lift...however I would find it hard to believe that any unit would have that much greater lift than mine....you might get a 6 or 7 HP unit and that would get a little better but then I also think there is a point of return as well
 
I think that like Beemer said, one is a commercial grade vs. consumer grade.
Not that it makes the craftsman or homedepot models bad machines, just not necessarily meant for the heavy use.

I've been using craftsman & Depot vac for years. They work great, we clean them regularly which my guys love doing they fill up with loose change. You need HP for lift & I change my nozzles frequently (they cost almost as much as vac). I have many locations & clean tons of cars. Keep the vac motor dry & you'll be good.
