Darn Dealers!

I had to take the Jag to the dealer to get some warranty work done. I did not buy my car from this dealer. They did good work and thanks to the warranty I only paid $230 for nearly $3,000 of work.

My only complaint: A day after picking up the car, I'm walking up to my car in the parking lot from behind and I notice that they removed my license plate and put it back on with one of their frames advertising the dealership!

I'm so tempted to drive it over there and tell them to remove it unless they want to pay me to advertise their business. :kick:

I would not hesitate to go back and demand that they take it off if it were mine. Or you could just take it off your self. Then inform them the next time you are there that the addition of any advertising is not appreciated or acceptable.

Just remember don't get mad at the repair guys. They are just doing what they are told to do. If your going to bring it up to somebody go to the dealer manager. Or to avoid all of this is it really that bad just taking it off.

Agreed. I plan to remove it myself and if I return for more work I'll be sure to tell them not to put one on. Taking it over there to tell them to remove it is too much trouble, but tempting for the shock value.

Take them off and return them to the dealer saying that the mechanic left something on your car. :)
:lol2:

At least it was only a license frame . . . many years ago, I made a dealer repaint the rear deck after they installed a stick-on advertising placard while my Honda was in for service!!:wall

I would have given them a call, but I'm a jerk when it comes to stuff like that. I used to have a pretty hostile relationship with my dealer until I called Audi of America about six or seven times. They've been pretty nice to me since.
