Getting supplies indoors in cold climates

Much as I hate to think about it, cold weather is on the way.
For those of us in the northern states, that means it's time to get your supplies into a heated area.

Many, maybe even most, chemicals don't handle the freeze/thaw cycle the best.
Some products will separate and not remix properly. I think it has something to do with the emulsifiers, but since I'm not into chemistry. I just try not to freeze my products rather than worry about what happens to them.
I keep several tote trays with products in them that I can take to the garage as needed.
One has the things I use when doing a wash and cleanup such as S&W, APC, window cleaner, Bold n Bright, Dura Gloss AW, leather and vinyl cleaners and conditioners.
Another has swirl removers, polishes, waxes, sealants for when I need some paint correction.

Works for me. :)

ideal temperature for the products is about 50-60* ...most garages that are not left open even in the NE, won't go below 50 ;)

A temperature in the teens is not uncommon in my garage during a typical Iowa winter and we are not even in the northern part of the state.
I have no idea how cold it gets in the garage when we have the 10 or 20 below zero spells. I try real hard to not even look outside, let alone go outside, when the really cold temps hit.
Stuff will freeze and separate in my garage and some of it became garbage. Mine is already in the basement. :)

I've started the process of moving everything into the basement. Probably the weekend project since it's getting near freezing at nights here.

For years I kept my prods. in our bedroom during the winter. This year it's the basement. I'll see how they hold up.:passout:

I guess there are advantages to living in Texas. I do not have to move my products out of the garage.

I move mine in to the basement its heated, keeps the products nice. I learned my lesson from leaving some outside.

Good reminder Charles thanks.... I used my UPP this week and it was like minature cottage cheese and it hasnt got below 50 in my garage yet.
